Angel's End (Angel's End #1) by Cindy Holby

In the mountains of Colorado, a small town called Angel’s End welcomes everyone with open arms—even a man fleeing his past…

Wounded and on the run, Cade Gentry stumbles into a kind man who’s on his way to become the new pastor of Angel’s End. But not long after Timothy Key takes him in, Cade’s enemies catch up with him, and the young pastor is killed in the crossfire. Cade survives, stealing Timothy’s identity to escape, and arrives in Angel’s End on the brink of death.

Leah Findley is the sheriff’s widow, trying to make ends meet for herself and her son. Having the new minister as a boarder will help, but she isn’t expecting him to be wounded when he arrives. And she definitely isn’t expecting the feelings that the new preacher stirs deep inside her.

The more time Cade spends with Leah, the deeper he falls in love. To Cade, she’s an angel who’s saved his life and given him the sense of hope he’s never known. But he’s not the man she thinks he is, and before he can find permanent shelter in Leah’s arms, he must learn to have faith and put his former sins to rest...

I spent a good chunk of the last day finding anything I could around the house that would keep me busy so I could avoid finishing Angel's End. Oy, I know that sounds kinda bad but really it's so not what you're thinking because I absolutely loved this book. I kept stalling because I just didn't want my time with Leah and Cade to actually end.

Guest Post w/ Cindy Holby + grand prize entry

Happy end of 2012! Can you believe it's the last day of the year already?!

We're spending the last little bit of 2012 hanging out with Cindy Holby. If you haven't met her she writes historical westerns and is just fabulous. She has a new release, Colorado Heart , that I'm itching to get my hands on.

She also writes YA dystopian as Kassy Tayler! The Huffington Post called it a likely successor to Hunger Games. Pretty neat, right? She works with animal rescue too which makes her even more awesome in our opinion since we do too!!

So, I'm handing off to Cindy for a bit so check out her guest post and leave her some love!

I had to laugh when I saw the name of this blog. Herding Cats pretty much describes my life in the past year. Since October 2011, we have had a wedding for my youngest son, and then a few weeks later we lost my dad, which was not un-expected as he’d been dealing with a lot of health issues. In January my oldest announced his engagement and my youngest, the newly wed announced that we were going to be grandparents in September. In May our oldest broke up with his finance for all the right reasons and met somebody else. In September my oldest announced he was getting married the end of October of 2012 and the same week, Hayes was born. During this time I also wrote two books while promoting the release of three.

Deep breath. Did I mention that these two books are totally different genres and published by two different houses under two different names?

Type: Paranormal Romance, Demons/Mythology/Immortal

Oh damn. I have seriously been missing out on something fantastic here! I've had this one sitting at the house for over a year now and man do I regret not getting to it sooner. That cover is really flipping sexy and one of my all time favorites and the story to go along with it was just as delicious.

Alright so if you've been living under a rock like me and have managed to not pick up this series it's centered around Pandora's box and a group of immortal warriors possessed by the demons they unleashed on the world. Pain, Violence, Disease, Promiscuity, Death, Wrath, etc. So you've got lots of tortured hero goodness to dive into if you like that sort of thing <g>

Spotlight on C.J. Ellisson Vampire Vacation + giveaway!

Vampire Vacation (the VV Inn #1) by C.J. Ellisson

Meet Vivian. She's a 580-year-old vampire who exudes sex, has a talent for drama, and is passionate about two things: her human husband, Rafe, and their resort for the undead. Her ability to project physical illusions has created the perfect vacation spot-a dark, isolated Alaskan hideaway where visitors can have their wildest fantasies come true. Vivian knows the best performance requires perfect timing, but the powerful vamp is put to the test when she discovers a corpse in a locked guestroom minutes before the next arrivals.

Always cool-headed, Rafe hides the body, convinced he and Vivian can find the culprit without disturbing their guests. Juggling the increasingly outrageous demands of their customers while tracking a killer isn't easy. Will their poking and prodding give them the answers they need, or will it uncover secrets Vivian would kill to protect?

Type: Paranormal Romance, Vampires/Werewolf
Heat: 3.5 out of 5
Rating:  5 out of 5

Ahhh total book love! I had a damn good time with Vampire Vacation. It's the first in the VV Inn series and omg it's so good. With a quick pace, irresistible characters, a fun plot and a kinky locale it's one I didn't want to put down for a single second.

Make Me, Sir (Masters of the Shadowlands #5) by Cherise Sinclair

Her job is to make his life miserable. His job is to make her submit. Whose heart will surrender first?

Across the country, rebellious BDSM submissives are being systematically kidnapped, one from each club. When her friend falls prey to the slavers, FBI victim specialist Gabrielle volunteers to be bait in a club not yet hit: the Shadowlands.

She finds that being a bratty sub comes naturally, especially when she gets to twit the appallingly conservative Master of the trainees. But she soon discovers he's not as stuffy as she'd thought. Or as mean. She'd expected punishment, even humiliation, but she sure never expected to fall in love with a damned lawyer.

Courtesy of a prima donna ex-wife, Marcus loathes disobedient submissives. When the club owner insists he admit an incredibly bratty trainee, he's furious. But as he comes to know Gabrielle and sees the alluring sweetness beneath the sass, he starts to fall for her.

Unfortunately, Marcus isn't the only one who believes the feisty redhead is a prize worth capturing. And in the world of the slaver, such treasure is worth a hefty fee.

Type: Erotica, BDSM
Heat: 5 out of 5

Oh damn this book was scorching hot! It had been a while since I'd spent time in the Shadowlands and Make Me, Sir definitely reminded me why I love this series. With the pairing of a Dom who has a thing about disobedient subs and an undercover agent who has to act the part of a very bratty submissive assigned to said Dom you just know you're in for one hell of a ride.

Interview w/ Cherise Sinclair + giveaway! (open INT)

Oh. My. God. Cherise Sinclair is on the blog. If I was gonna go all fangirl on someone...it would be Cherise. But I'm gonna try and play it cool and not squeal at her too much today. <g> If you've been around the blog yall know Cherise gets talked about often and that her Shadowlands (and Mountain Masters) series are two of my favorites and some of my first ever erotica (and definitely first ever BDSM) books. We reviewed My Liege of Dark Haven last month *swoon* if yall'd like to check that out too.

If you're looking to try out the genre she's the place to start. The characters are sexy, the sex is scorching and the relationships will make you do that happy little sigh thing.

So come check out our interview and enter to win some goodies down below! And feel free to leave Cherise some love!

Legacy of the Witch (the Portal #0.5) by Maggie Shayne

As a child, Amarrah loved her grandmother’s stories of three witches who were members of the king’s harem—but they were more than just stories. Amarrah knew she had been there with them…and now their legacy, along with an ancient box that once belonged to them, lies in her hands.

Charged with keeping the box safe, Amarrah is heartbroken when it is stolen from her while she moves to America. Years later, she is shocked to see it on TV and is determined to get it back. Tracking the artifact leads her to Sergeant Harrison Brockson, a handsome soldier who stirs memories of a man she knew centuries ago in ancient Babylon. Is Harrison the key to finding the box—or could he be her destiny?

As soon as I spotted Legacy of the Witch, I had to grab it up and you know, it was a great little novella. It really does a fantastic job of setting up the world of the Portal series (which is awesome) and easing you into a storyline that can be a little complicated at times since it deals with past lives and the reincarnation of a group of sister witches.

Iced Chiffon (Consignment Shop #1) by Duffy Brown!

Reagan's messy divorce has left her with nothing but a run-down Victorian and a bunch of designer clothes. Strapped for cash, Reagan makes use of the two things she has left, turning the first floor of her home into a consignment shop and filling it with the remnants of her rich-wife wardrobe.

Thanks to his cunning lawyer, Walker Boone, her ex got everything else, including the Lexus--not to mention a young blonde cupcake. When Reagan finds the blonde dead in the Lexus, she's determined to beat Boone to finding the murderer. As it turns out, the gossip fiends flooding Reagan's shop can give her a lot more than just their unwanted clothes--they have information more precious than a vintage Louis Vuitton...

"How's the foot?"
"It'll be much better once I have crab cakes and cheesecake in me. Notice how all good things have the word cake in them--except fruitcake. Even Paula Deen doesn't do fruitcake."
With "no-count, low-rent, conniving, scum-sucking lawyers", an abundance of pineapple doorknockers, dead "Cupcakes" showing up in trunks, dogs named Bruce Willis, gangsters and little old ladies gossiping it up over coffins, drag queens, a slew of potential suspects and an auntie with a Cher obsession Iced Chiffon is a real Southern treat that had me smiling and guessing at whodunit until the very end.

My mom is in town visiting right now and we decided to spend a quiet night at home just reading. Now, my momma and I do not read the same things. At all. About as spicy as she reads are the Stephanie Plum books by Evanovich (and those are pushing it LOL).

So we get all settled for the night and I picked up my Nook, opened up Dear Alli and starting reading along. And oh. my. god. I'm totally glancing around like a guilty little girl as I'm reading because my mom would just die if she knew I was reading something so steamy right there in front of her. Holy freaking sexy book! This was my first time reading Cole's books and damn did she just find a new fan. I loved the characters, the storyline and all the steamy goodness.

Indelibly Intimate...

Quinn LaBrea got ditched. Her jerkwad ex-boyfriend trashed her credit and left behind a mountain of debt. Worse, his initials are tattooed on her thigh, an ugly-ass reminder of her utter failure at life. Not to mention her horrible taste in men.

Hamilton Dean-"Hammer" at his tattoo shop-may be an unlikely white knight, with his piercings and bad-boy persona, but he takes one look at Quinn and knows exactly what she needs. A new tattoo to cover the old one? Easy. A place to stay when her power's cut? Done. A night filled with hot, sweaty sex and mind-blowing orgasms? Hell yeah.

Addicted to Quinn's touch, Hammer brings her to the Inktastic Tattoo Convention. In his booth where anyone could see, alone in the hotel, anywhere and everywhere, Hammer has to have her. But he wants to give Quinn so much more than mindless pleasure and multiple orgasms. He offers her forever, if she has the courage to take it.

What Happens Under the Mistletoe

Thanks to the lovely and wonderful Anna for hosting us authors here on her blog for the holidays! It’s great to be a part of such a wonderful community of readers and writers.

I’m Regina Cole, and I write erotic romance. I want to talk a little bit about what my brand of erotic romance is, what it isn’t, and give you a little taste as a holiday gift. How does that sound?

I’ll be giving away an ebook copy of INDELIBLY INTIMATE and two ebook copies of DEAR ADDI, if the lovely Anna is amenable!

Okay, so let’s relate this smexy romance stuff to the big holiday that is literally around the weekend from us. A lot of people get really nervous when you mention the word “Erotic.” It evokes mental images that may startle or even frighten some people. When I tell people that I write erotic romance, their eyebrows climb to their hairlines, they blush, and sometimes giggle.
