Spotlight: Claudy Conn + giveaway!

Morning, or rather afternoon, kittens! I'm a little behind with today's post since I was getting my mom all ready to head back home to FL. Sorry about that!

Today we're doing a spotlight on Claudy Conn's Legend Series! Claudy is just a sweet, sweet author and one of my local to NC authors too! Claudy's got a killer giveaway going for yall today too. So check out our review of Spellbound, check out the rest of the series and enter that giveaway!

Maxine Reigate faces danger everywhere she turns. An evil and ancient beauty wants her dead – and Maxie needs to keep her at bay. Dark and monstrous Fae are slipping into the human Realm and causing havoc. Maxie has to be instrumental in stopping them and keeping the FaeWall in place. Confusing these matters more are two men who have entered her life. Julian, the moody High Druid Priest awakened after a two hundred year coma, and the Fae Prince who wants her for his own. She has decisions to make. . .

Just a quickie review so the post doesn't get tooo long :)

Spellbound is an interesting start to the Legend Series. I have this thing about Fae. I'm totally fascinated by them but also kinda weirded out at the same time. LOL. So needless to say this one kept my interest.

I really enjoyed all of the main characters in Spellbound. Maxine is a young woman who's lost her family in a terrible accident, found out there's an ancient evil out to get her because of her ancestry, has had to move across the world in hopes of putting an end to this evil being and has found herself surrounded by lots of delicious men who seem intent on driving her crazy. It's a lot for a girl to take in! She's also got some interesting talents that come into play because of her Druid blood. I really liked that part and found it fascinating.

There is a bit of a love triangle and honest to goodness I wouldn't be able to decide between the two men either! I'm totally smitten with the Fae Prince who adores humans and loves being around them. He's dripping with sexy yumminess and would totally make you purr. And Julian. He's a bit of a brooder and gotta say I'm really fond of him too and the tragic way he and Maxine are connected (one of those kinda break your heart things).

With an intriguing cast, betrayals and an interesting mix of goings on in both the human and fae worlds it's definitely one that has me ready for more.

Now, in the heart-stopping conclusion to the Legend series, the half-human/half-Daoine Fae finds herself in the Dark Realm, where she’ll have to fight Gaiscioch on his own turf. Danté, Prince of the Tuatha Dé and Z’s lover, is not about to let her face this danger alone, however, and the two of them are thrust on a ride that takes them to the edge of life as we know it…

  4. Happy Holidays! I picked up Spellbound last month and it's been "sitting" in my TBR pile ever since. I am so far behind in my books lol I don't think I've ever had this many waiting to be read and I am loving it! Going to have to push this one up to the top! It sounds great and I love series books over stand alone...mostly because once I fall in lvoe with the charcters and world I don't want to see htem end. With a series it lasts a bit longer :-)
