Gotta say I'm thoroughly enjoying these race car drivers and the women who wrangle them. They're an entertaining lot and you really just never know what is going to pop out of their mouths. Hard and Fast was a damn good time as a very unlikely pair somehow manage to fit together perfectly.

Imogen and Ty are one of my favorite couples. She's a highly educated grad student who doesn't take risks, thinks everything to death and is so very socially awkward and he's an impulsive, outgoing, risk taking race car driver that dropped out of high school. They're so different from each other but the sparks are amazing and things are so steamy between them. It's really just fun to watch them play off each other. The sexy moments, the sweet ones. I really enjoyed them all.
“But the truth is, I want to be some woman's work boots, not her high heels."

"Work boots?" What was sexy about that? And did women have work boots?

"Yeah. You know, the boots she pulls out when she wants to get down and dirty, hiking or gardening or boating or painting the kitchen. The ones she relies on and trusts and lives her life hard and good and on her terms in. Her favorites.”
okay, So, race car driver man candy is really
hard to find. He's just gonna have to do ;)
Things weren't always smooth between them--there are some nice awkward moments-- but their relationship is just refreshingly honest and entertaining. I  loved that they didn't play games and said what they were thinking. There's not too much drama between them but omg when things do hit the fan holy crap it's impressive. Everything blew up and I'm right there with them going "whoa what the hell just happened?!?"-- it was fantastic!

McCarthy really did an amazing job creating a unique couple and a wonderful romance. It's sweet, it's sexy, it's fun and just made me smile. And maybe swoon just a little because damn Ty is just so freaking sexy.

Have you read McCarthy? Have a favorite?
Do you like sports romances? Reading any good race car drivers?
