Quarterback Draw (Play by Play #9) by Jaci Burton (@BerkleyRomance)

Grant Cassidy knows how to be a football star—flash that dazzling smile, throw the winning pass, get the girl. But while the hot quarterback loves the game and the lifestyle, no woman has come close to catching his heart. Then he matches wits with a smart, gorgeous model, and Grant finds himself wanting more than a fling.

Supermodel Katrina Koslova might live in a world of glitz and camera flashes, but she works hard to provide for the family that relies on her. She doesn’t have time for fun—much less a boyfriend—but Grant seems determined to be the exception to Katrina’s rule.

Their explosive chemistry is undeniable, but Katrina’s afraid to let go and rely on anyone but herself. Grant intends to ease her fears and prove he’s a man of style and substance

You know you've read a fabulous book when you get to the last chapter and you keep thinking... "not yet! Not yet! I'm not ready for it to be over!" and, yeah, that was totally me and Quarterback Draw. Burton just makes the sports romance junkie in me so very very happy. A model. A footballer. A sexy photo shoot in the tropics and a little cat and mouse chase? Oh heck yeah. Damn good time.

The quick of it is that Katrina and Grant meet up while on a photo shoot for a sports magazine and, well, Grant's interest...totally peaked. And he's totally on board with convincing the elusive Katrina to give him a chance. Even if he has to use her siblings--that she's raising--to help please his case.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

Her gaze snapped to his. "No."

"Okay."

"Why would you ask that question? I wouldn't be seeing you if I did. I wouldn't kiss you if I did. I would never--"

"Calm down, Kat, I only asked the question because you're always so reluctant to spend any time with me. And I know it's not because you don't like me."

She let out a laugh. "Of course. Because what woman wouldn't like you? You being so irresistible and all."

He shot her a grin. "I know, right?"

"No problem with your ego, is there?"

"None that I'm aware of."
Katrina was a heroine I just felt for. Everything about her gave me that little feeling in my gut. She's spent her entire adult life taking care of her two younger siblings after their mother passed. She works extremely hard and always puts her siblings first and she's missed out on a lot of life experiences because of it but never complains. I really liked her. She's incredibly strong. determined and tries so hard in everything she does. She's really just a beautiful person and one I so wanted to just reach out to and cheer on.

And Grant was just gorgeous. Pretty much if I was going to have someone make my perfect hero...it would be Burton. Goodnight but she can write an amazing lust-worthy male. He's pretty much got it all going for him. Sexy as sin, a true gentleman, killer skills on the field and fun loving off the field. He's thoughtful and just an amazing man. I loved that he always included her siblings in everything and never complained about having to share her time. He can be a little alpha male and took over her life a little without meaning to but yeah...total sexy beast of a man.
"Your face is flushing again, Katrina," Carlos said. "And who might this be?"

"Carlos Zenera, this is Grant Cassidy."

Grant came over and shook Carlos's hand.

Carlos gave Grant an up-and-down critical examination.

"Are you the hickey guy?"

Grant frowned, then glanced down at Katrina. "I gave you a hickey?"

Carlos stepped behind her. "No use denying it now, honey. Hot stuff has confessed."

She was mortified.

"Also, oh my God," Carlos whispered at her back. "Well done."
The two together. Scorching make a girl squirm good. From the second they met on the photo shoot electricity just sparked between them. They complimented each other well in and out of the bedroom. Brought out good things in each other. She mellowed him a little and he got her having a little fun. And were just lovely together as they figured things out.

There was a big emphasis on family which I absolutely loved. Both Kat with her siblings--who totally played the obnoxious bratty teens so well. And with Grant's parents and siblings who all happen to be sporty (which oh gave my heart a little flutter because omg so many more book options!). They're such good people and loved each other so much. I so can't wait for his brother's books. Gah but they're a yummy bunch of men.

All in all, Burton reigns supreme in the world of sports romances delights again and again with a beautifully heartwarming romance infused with heat, fun and spirit that just flow off the pages.
