I had to dig around a little for a quote tastic pic this week but landed on Cade (yay I love that name!) that I read ages ago for book club. It was my first from Hart and a pretty fun read. Had a couple of good quotes too :) The hero was a bit of a cocky thing...

"In my opinion, I'm not denying myself anything," she said, shakily.

"Only because you haven't had me inside you yet."

He leaned down and took her mouth fast and hard, his tongue sliding along hers sinuously, and she realized too late that the moan she'd heard had come from her.

And then this just cracked me up. I have SO had moments like that. lol 

 "You do realize that at some point in the future when I have the energy, I'm going to be irritated by this information?

"I'd expect nothing less."

Cade (The MacKenzie Brothers #6) by Liliana Hart

Sometimes you just need a quick and dirty read. Something easy that flies by and, well, steams things up a little or hell a lot! Aaaannnd that would be Cade. It's a nice sexy read with a darker underlying suspense of revenge and justice as Cade puts everything into bringing down the men who killed a woman he cared for.

I really liked Cade. I so have a thing for those slightly damaged and demanding alphas that know what they want and come after it. ::shivers:: There's just so much intensity to them and damn it's good.  He's all kinds of confident sexy on a stick but the man is truly haunted by his past and gah that really made me feel for him.

Bayleigh was a pretty decent heroine as well. She had a couple near- TSTL moments that made me roll my eyes but other than that chickie was great. She's not shy and doesn't back down. Says what she's thinking and has absolutely no prob putting Cade in his place now and again which totally throws him.

 And the two were freaking great together. They go at it like cats and dogs. From the very first moment they see each other the sparks--and tempters--fly. And it's hot as hell. I love when a couple is fiery and pushes each others buttons, doesn't let the other get away with anything and just goes at it in every way. Things do get steamy and adventurous. There's a little backdoor action and some light bondage but it wasn't over the top. It's all hot but, I don't know, for me it never made it to the omg I need a fan level. 

All in all I had a good time with Cade. It's not the deepest of reads but hell I don't always need that, ya know? It's fast and hard and got the sexy happening. I would have liked a little more on the suspense side of things but other than that I was pretty entertained and am looking forward to checking out the rest of the series.
