#AFTH2015 w/ PA DePaul--have you been naughty or nice?!

Awwwws we've got PA DePaul here today! So. PA is a hoot. She writes yummy rom-suspense but she's just an awesome lady and a lot of fun to e-hang out with. Plus she's got one of my favorite secondary character bad boys who has me totally in a pant waiting for his book to come out one day. Lickable, people. Lickable.

<clears throat> I will not let Romeo distract me! We have a mission today! Authors for the Holidays. Not Romeo panting. Ahhh

Sooo before I go on about Romeo the Delicious (and naughty!) yall say hey to PA and check out what she's bring yall today! ~anna

Merry Christmas! Happy Chanukah! Happy Kwanza! Feliz Navidad! Happy Holidays!

Whatever holiday you celebrate, this is the time of year I like to reserve for reflection. Have I been Nice or Naughty? Will Santa Claus fill the space under my tree with gifts or coal? Hmmm….on second thought, maybe I shouldn’t be asking this question. This could lead to serious trouble. *taps chin* Let’s review my list of things I find Naughty or Nice and see how I end up.

Number 10. Christmas Decorations.
Score one for the “Nice” List. It always gives me warm fuzzies to sit beside my tree with the lights twinkling and the snow village I add to the top of the piano and bay window ledge as I watch TV or read a book.

Number 9. Christmas Cookies!
Oh boy. There seems to be some confusion as to whether this makes the Nice or Naughty side of the list. I can see the argument both ways! It looks like in the end Santa approves of my double batches of Sugar, Gingerbread, and Chocolate Chip cookies (missing in the picture is the tin of Snickerdoodles that we’d eaten the week before). YUM!

Number 8. Pile of Books.
These books and authors are definitely on the Nice List! I am addicted to reading. I absolutely love being swept away into new worlds (or revisiting ones I traveled to before) and can easily lose a whole day if I’m not careful. (Which gets me in trouble when I’m supposed to be writing!!) This stack represents only a few of the books and authors I read this past year.

Number 7. Hot Chocolate.
I think we can all agree that a mug of steaming Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows is most assuredly on the Nice List! This is my go-to drink in the winter. I heat up milk in the microwave, then add a packet of chocolate for a perfect cup of “ahhhhhh.”

Number 6. Candy!
*Blows out a breath* Yeah. This is on the Naughty List. It’s sooooooo good, but I worked hard all year to lose weight (19 lbs and counting!) so I have to add this delicacy to that list. (Doesn’t mean I don’t cheat every now and then…I mean, come on! Say it with me, “CHOCOLATE!”)

Number 5. Sexy Scenes In A Great Book
You know the scenes I mean. The ones that have you grabbing the fan or throwing the covers off because the hero and heroine just melted the words off the page with their hot-n-heavy action. *whew* Did someone break the thermostat? I’m suddenly overheating.
I probably don’t even need to say it, but this is most definitely on the Naughty List!

Number 4. Warm Fire!
(If you’re still focused on Number 5, then you might not need this one. LOL.) Anyway. I absolutely love building a fire in the winter. The smell of the wood burning and the crackle of the flames as they dance in the fireplace scream warm winter nights. Nice List all the way.

Number 3. Drafting Sex Scenes
My heroes and heroines land me on the Naughty List more times then I’m off it. Sometimes they’re like bunnies, constantly going at it and I have to wrangle them in and make them understand the rest of the story needs to be told! *hangs head* Here’s just a little snippet of what I mean.

Number 2. Monty Dog!
My dog Montgomery—Monty for short—is on the Nice List for sure. He’s a pure-bred Shih Zhu who believes he’s a Rottweiler. LOL. I think it’s the walnut-sized brain in that tiny head. He’s my buddy, my muse, and my critic all rolled up in a thirteen pound package.

Number 1. MAN CANDY!
Mrs. Claus stole Santa’s stamp and made it A-OK! *fist bumping Mrs. Claus*
My Man Candy Monday posts should probably land me on the Naughty List but I can argue really hard the pics are seriously NICE! We need yummies in our lives. What do you think?

Well, there you have my Top 10 Naughty and Nice List. *scrolls back over list* Let’s see where I ended up. 5 Nice Items, 3 Naughty Items, 2 Arguable items on both lists… I landed on the Nice List! *WOOT* Presents under the tree this year!!!

How did you all do? Are you on the Naughty, Nice, or You-Tried-Really-Hard-That-Should-Count-For-Something List? I want to see pics of items on your list!

Thank you so much Anna and Herding Cats & Burning Soup for hosting me today! I count you as a complete blessing in my life and I <3 you so much!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Years!!!

Hugs and Love, PA

When her secretly filmed tryst shows up on the internet, Michelle Alger goes on the run. She has no choice. Not only was her one-night stand the son of a US senator, but he’s been murdered—and she’s the number one suspect. With both the senator and an avenging drug lord on her trail, her life is in danger. There’s only man she can trust. He saved her once, but will he still be her hero six years later?

Captain Jeremy Malone and the rest of Delta Squad have the senator’s order: find the mystery woman who killed my son. But to Jeremy, she’s no mystery. Six years ago his team of Green Berets rescued her from the torturous clutches of a Colombian cartel, and he’s never forgotten her. His personal and covert mission: find Michelle before anyone else. When he and Michelle do meet again, the sparks are explosive and consuming. They’re also dangerous as hell.

Because with each new bit of evidence, Jeremy suspects that Michelle’s innocence may be a ruse—a beautiful trap set by a woman who has even more secrets yet to bare.
