March wasn't too bad. I got a lot done and for the most part it was an easy month until the very end. Then hell sorta broke loose. Ee!

[Memes] Characters I Loved in Books I Hated + My Current Reads

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

So. It was a long week, yall. There are a lot of good stuff. I got a lot of blogging done during the first week of Blog Ahead and for the first time in probably 8 months I'm actually caught up with return blog visits! I thought that would never happen. lol

[quotetastic] 4 stars-- Jonquils for Jax (The Rousseaus #1) by Katy Regnery

I have been seriously loving Regnery's Blueberry Lane series which includes the Rousseaus.

Jax and Gard. These two were a trip and...trying to be friends. This gave me such a laugh.

[InstaWed] Oh that face! BabyG turned 10!

Because I love Instagram and sharing what we've been up to the last couple weeks...

BabyG, food, books. Ornery nature. That's about it. lol

4 stars-- Bad Business (Bad Boys of Sports #2) by Nicole Edwards

A deliciously filthy good time! Yeah, Edwards writes some yummy contemporaries with a make-you-pant erotic edge. Bad Business...was a keeper.
The Gist: A footballer with no idea what he's going to do when his current contract is up. And a coach who's determined to find out. Even if he has to set his daughter to getting friendly with said footballer to do so. If only he knew they'd already hooked up and spent hours doing all sorts of filthy things to one another thinking they'd never see each other again. Oy!

2 stars-- Accidentally Hers (Sterling Canyon, #1) by Jamie Beck

Such a cute cover! I was like yes! I need this! But, yall, there was a struggle. Accidentally Hers was not my cuppa at all.

The Gist: Grey was just minding his own business when a drunk driver hit him. Turns out it's the brother of the girl who'd caught his eye. A sticky spot to be put in for sure. Especially when his injuries keep him from actually doing his job and legal matters have to be taken into consideration.

[Money Matters] Couponing 101 -- Here's What You Need to Know to Save!

If you follow me on Facebook you know I've been couponing. Couponing a LOT. lol And I've gotten a good number of questions regarding how I save so much. So I thought I'd do a post with some random info for those wanting to start couponing.

It's well worth the time and effort in my opinion. For January, yall, I purchased 407 items (130 donated). Retail that would have cost me $1254.10 if I bought it without sales/coupons.

I paid...$57.42 and 19.99 of that was taxes. It was ridiculous. One of my better months but still most months are pretty dang good these days.

Blog Ahead Begins!! [My Goals]

We're doing a mini Blog Ahead challenge the next two weeks. The goal being to get a jump on blog posts and get 14 addition posts scheduled before the end of the event.

So I'm starting with 29 posts.

[memes] Reading Round the World, Girl Talk & My Reading

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

There was a lot of peopling, yall. USO and food pantry and I need a nap. lol We got some nice rain and I did some work around the house. Some more freaking snow but it didn't stick. Got some solid reading in and actually found my first 5 star read (I think) for the year. Woo!

Other than that the only other big thing is Blog Ahead starts this weekend! Eeee! I need this bad. It's all about pre-scheduling blog posts and getting ahead in your posts. Totally what saves the blog. I love having those extra posts done and ready to go for when I need a blogging break or have a blogger slump or kitty emergency. Anyone interested is welcome to join in!

[quote-tastic] 4 stars-- Dragon Soul (Dragon Falls #3) by Katie MacAlister

Katie MacAlister is something...special. I enjoy her humor. The little bit of silly and ridiculous mixed into the action and romance. Her characters just make me laugh.

Nipple nubs, indeed! This quote gave me a chuckle.

2.5 stars-- More to Love (A Perfect Fit #3) by Alison Bliss

Whew. Yall. Usually if I'm gonna have issues it's the heroine. But this time? This time...nope. Fab heroine. The hero, though? Sweet Baby Jesus.
The Gist: Max in his fucked up brilliance decides to impersonate a health inspector so he can run off a new food truck that's taken up in the area and is harming his friend's restaurant. And in the process is a total wanker shit even though he's completely taken by and falling for the curvy redhead who owns said food truck he's trying to run off.

4 stars-- Dark Redemption (Dark Paradise #3) by Angie Sandro

Oo I liked it! I won Dark Redemption ages ago and just let it sit on my Netgalley self but I finally dove in and, damn, yall. It was worth the time!

The Gist: Mala's kept the fact she can communicate with ghosts a secret her whole life and has a life altering decision to make. There's something evil out there brutally murdering teenage boys as some sort of sacrifice and her otherworldly talents and the support of her boyfriend might be the only way they'll find justice.

3.5 stars-- Forbidden Fling (Wildwood, #1) by Skye Jordan

Whew! Talk about some sizzling chemistry! I enjoyed Forbidden Fling quite a bit. A flawed hero, a heroine out of options, life dreams at odds with one another, undeniable attraction, a family feud. It kept me eagerly listening.

The Gist:
Delaney inherited a vacant bar. It's pretty much sat crumbing for years but with the threat of demolition it's now or never where renovation is concerned. But her presence and reviving the bar bring up all sorts of ugly memories connected with a death on it's premises years earlier and  put a snag in Ethan's future as well.

[tasty delights] Peanut Butter Cream Pie w/ Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Crust

The #BlogAllAboutIt prompt this month is our favorite scent. And I was like hmmm what in the world can I do for that? I do love a lot of scents. From my current perfume to puppy breath. Cut grass is nice. And even though I don't eat them I love the scent of coconut things. Coffee, too.

But then I was like...cookies! Well, really, all baked goods. My mom is a baker. She does everything from regular cookies to wedding cakes. People LOVE her baked goods and are always wanting them for special events. The funny thing is growing up? I didn't want her baked goods. I wanted a Publix white cake for my birthday. I didn't want that fancy stuff she makes. No ma'am! lol But I do love the smell of baking. lol My poor mom. She was a total champ, though, and got me those Publix cakes. Even brought one nearly 600 miles from FL to NC one year before we had a Publix because at 35, yeah, I still don't eat most of her baking. So bad, I know! lol

[memes] I Need MORE Books (my Spring wishlist) + this week's reading

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

Well. This week. Whew. We had snow. Again. But it's already gone and we're back to 60 during the day, 20s at night. Eh. I guess I'll take it. lol

[InstaWednesday] And then there was FOOD!

Because I love Instagram and sharing what we've been up to...

So, yeah, apparently I've been cooking a lot lately. lol And playing in my planner. And, well, bugging the herd babes. *nods*

4 stars-- Breaking Up with Barrett (The English Brothers #1) by Katy Regnery

Awwww Barrett. Brilliant business man. Romantic blunder. lol
The Gist: When it comes to business Barrett's a bit too cut and dry and, maybe, a little bit of a shark when it comes to closing a deal. What he needs is a woman to help soften his edges when he's working those deals. So he asks the family gardener's daughter--who he's been secretly in love with for 24 years to play the part of his fake fiance. Just for a little while. Since she's a struggling college student she's all over that!

4 stars-- Midnight Games (Killer Instincts, #3) by Elle Kennedy

Holy crap! Now that's how you do a romantic-suspense! A scorching slow burn romance and suspense that'll get your heart pounding. Excellent!
The Gist: Trevor and his team of mercenaries have gone through hell and come out the other side needing help tracking down those responsible. Isabel and the assassins she works with... are just what they need. Their bosses may hate each other but whenever these two are in a room together sparks fly and temptation hits hard and heavy. Even in the face of danger.

And So We Sing!

Taking a little break from books and herd to...sing a little. I've been loving these two songs lately.

[memes] Bookish Things & some Surprises!

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

Soooo my awesome make me giddy book binge has ended. *flails* lol I read SO many books the last month that were awesome. This week...eh. There was a struggle, yall. lol

[QuoteTastic] 4 stars-- One Night of Trouble (After Hours, #3) by Elle Kennedy

This gave me a good giggle. I love a sassy character. Just makes me happy.
“All right. Ask me.”

She knit her brows. “Ask you what?”

“To be your pretend boyfriend. Isn’t that what this heart-to-heart has been leading to?”

4 Stars-- The Rancher (Where the Trail Ends #4) by Anna Schmidt

Goodness but Schmidt knows how to rip a girls heart out. Yall. The Rancher's not a light and fluffy historical romance but one full of grit, pain, hope, endurance. Characters with strength and conviction. And others who struggle to do what's right. Hard choices are made. Friendships lost. Lives changed forever. It's one heck of a read.
The Gist: There's a war brewing between cattle and sheep ranchers who will go to any lengths to win the land be it murder, raids, burning homes. Times are dark but Trey has a hope he can bring everyone together and find a way to peacefully coexist. Even if it means a marriage of convenience to a widow of one of the sheep farmers.

3.5 stars-- Three the Hard Way (ACRO #7) by Sydney Croft

Yall! This was one of the first erotic series I devoured back before the blog. I seriously love me some ACRO. It's all about humans with special enhanced abilities that do all kinds of sexy super hero things. I'd been holding off on Three the Hard Way because I'm really not into mm. And, while it was a decent action packed--in more ways than one--novella it confirmed that, yeah, mm, totally not my thing.
The Gist: Needing to be rescued...sucks. Both your exes-- the betraying bastards!-- showing up and getting trapped in a one bedroom Alaskan bunker during a blizzard together? Fuck a duck. Seriously?

I'm A Binge Commenter Now *hangs head*

So. I'm just going to accept and admit it...

I'm a binge commenter.

[memes] Bookish Things This Week & Cake!

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

Holy cow. How can it be Friday already?!! I've been way too busy lately doing all the things. Nothing bad, though. Just busy at the house and volunteer stuff. I went to the food pantry again this week and had a bit of a struggle with the other volunteer but still was nice going in and seeing people pick items I'd brought in :)

[QuoteTastic] 4 stars-- One Night of Sin (After Hours #1) by Elle Kennedy

Ooo this one was steamy! So the quote. I laughed over it. The heroine is basically wanting a one night stand (or well an alley way quickie) with the hero and he's trying his best to put her off because she's much too young and sweet for that kind of thing. Gave me a laugh.
