Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!

This Month's Prompt
GROWL

Growl. Herd. Frustration. Figured I'd bundle all that up for this month's prompt and tell yall about Cleo.

If you follow me on FB or other social media you know Cleo has been having a medical battle this last month. It's been...complicated.

[memes] Red, White & Blue + my reading week

Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

Kitteh Update-- The girls both had rechecks this week. Sid gained a pound, yay! But she's still got other issues we're working on. Recheck in another month. Cleo had her sutures removed. She's still got more cage rest and 4 more weeks recovery but the vets said she looks amazing for 2 weeks post chest surgery. She has a recheck with the surgeon in 2 weeks.

4 stars-- Untamed Cowboy (Gold Valley #2) by Maisey Yates

Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!

Untamed Cowboy touched the heart and made me feel so much for two best friends who have spent a lifetime being there for one another.
The Gist: Bennett's perfectly ordered life has blown up in his face in the form of a troubled 15 year old boy. Who just so happens to be his kid. One he had no idea about and finds himself responsible for. Thankfully his best friend is there to help both of them figure it all out.

[memes] It's So Damn Hot, Series I've Bailed On + My Week in Books

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

Whew. Another week down. It was a busy one. Not bad just busy.
  • Cleo is doing pretty good but gave me a scare and spent the night at the e-vet Monday. Turned out to be constipation and the most expensive poop ever since she was there for near 24 hours for them to make sure she was okay. She's being a bit difficult but the vet said she did look great (other than the not wanting to poo at home) during her visit today. Ah! lol

3.5 stars-- Rainy Day Friends (Wildstone #2) by Jill Shalvis

Rainy Day Friends was a good read. Great family, awesome characters, a tug at your heart storyline. A good time, indeed.
The Gist:  Lanie's a new widow and just found out that her dear husband...had been collecting other wives the whole time they were married. Yeah. Her method of dealing? Running away and accepting a graphic design job at a winery while she sorts shit out. The huge nosy meddling family and the hunky cop with two little girls...she was not expecting them. Nope.

4 stars-- Loving Irish (The Summerhaven Trio #3) by Katy Regnery

Oh, yall. Loving Irish was an interesting read. It's not too often you have a character that's an alcoholic and working their steps.
The Gist: A decade after a misunderstanding blew up their teenage romance and left them devastated Ian and Hallie...are having to deal with each other and the past since his brother and her best friend are get hitched. And...they're less than thrilled over this turn of events.

[memes] Pretty New Reads & My Upcoming Plans!

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

Yall! This week has been insane. Scary, terrifying, make a girl cry kind of insane. Cleo had a major surgery on Tuesday so I was a wreck. I'll be doing a whole post on her explaining that this week. But she came home Friday afternoon and is holding on. Still a lot of healing to do but she's alive and on the mend. (eta Tuesday night and she's spending it at the e-vet, feeling a little poorly and getting stronger meds and oxygen and a consult tomorrow with surgical to see what they think)

[memes] Oh I Want to go There! + my reading week

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

So life is still crazy.
  • One herd babe is doing good. The other is going in for a risky surgery Tuesday. Would appreciate any prayers and good thoughts for my girl Cleo. Until then we're loving on her as much as she'll allow.

4 stars [quotetastic] Cowboy SEAL Redemption (Navy SEAL Cowboys #2) by Nicole Helm

Oh my damn. Cowboy SEAL Redemption was just...whew. Yeah, it's a keeper.
The Gist: Jack has a problem. His family is coming to town. Including his ex fiance who married his brother. Yeah. His solution? Find a lady to be his pretend girlfriend while they're visiting because he'll be damned if he lets them see how much their betrayal really hurt him. Seeing as she needs a temporary bouncer at her bar? Well, Rose is down for a trade.

4 stars-- The One You Can't Forget (The Ones Who Got Away #2) by Roni Loren

Goodness. The One You Can't Forget was a fabulous time. Emotionally charged, passionate, tinged with humor and hope. I enjoyed it thoroughly but that's to be expected from Loren. The woman just gives good book.
The Gist: A chance encounter during a mugging changes...everything

[memes] What Does My Blog Say About Me? Oh, dear. + My Reading Week

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

Lordy yall. It was a long week. I'm just gonna refer to the Monthly Herd recap on that.

On the reader/blogger front things were pretty light. It's been crazy and I just haven't had time or inclination for a lot of it. I did get some reading done. Finished up the Lucky Harbor series which I loved but am sad it's now over for me. *flails* lol Things will be light this next week on the blog by choice. I need to have some quiet so re-scheduled a lot for later this month. I'm a bit behind in commenting (again!) but hoping to find a little time to visit everyone and see what all of yall are up to :)
