[memes] Christmas Wish List +my week in books

I wanted to meme. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

Whew this week. And almost the end of the year. Yikes!

  • I had my last shift of the year at the food pantry. It was busy but went well.
  • I got way into 2019 prep. And it was kinda exciting? I've been tackling my e-life. Purging files, bookmarks, emails.
  • And prepping the house. Cleaning, organizing, purging. Cooking. I've been loving it. lol
  • Cleo had a recheck. Her infection is gone (yay!) and she's totally off meds. She gained a pound and a half this past week! Her blood work came back perfect other than her thyroid so she may go on meds for that this week.
  • I started watching Sleepy Hollow. Oh my word. He is so darn pretty. lol

Three. Not bad. I enjoyed them.

A Spirited Tail-- Predictable but fun as the heroine tries to solve the death of medium from decades earlier and a new murder on his abandoned property.

The Night Before Christmas-- whoa fucked up Christmas. Let me tell you. Total train wreck and I couldn't stop reading. lol

A Mew to a Kill-- These are just fun little jaunts. Predictable but a great heroine and felines. This time a murder in the art community and a ghost who won't leave Willa be.

Oh my word. Christmas with the Sheriff was not what I was expecting. It had me sobbing within 4 pages. Holy cow. It's been very good so far (about 50% in) but it's not a light fluffy romance.

I picked up a few freebies by authors I've enjoyed before.

Top Ten: Books I Hope I Find Under My Christmas Tree?

Yes!!! I need ALL THE BOOKS from Swank. I've read the entire first series of 9 books (plus novellas) and am working on this spin off series now. I've done the first two and waiting for the rest to release. I did them all on KU so I don't have print books like I want. Anywho. They're AMAZING and addictive and maybe my favorite thing I've read in a good number of years now. And, yes, I am totally in love with a crime lord and I have no shame! NO SHAME! lol

And I've really enjoyed this mystery/thriller series from Leigh. The series is so good. I've read/listened to them via KU as well. I really liked the characters and the romance woven into it. They aren't all out yet so args I won't get the ones I need but still a girl can hope! lol

And, okay. I need some Shalvis. I've read them all but only have the first 6 in print. So I wouldn't mind the second set of 6 in print. Heh

Question: Does your book club have a book exchange for the holidays?
A: No, my real life book club (though I haven't been in months, yikes!) doesn't do one. We do have a Christmas party, though. I've done some e-ones over the years and host a Christmas recipe swap via the blog but that's it.
