[memes] Oh the FALL TBR pile! Woo! Plus a tiny dang watermelon.

Um. Not sure what happened to the past week. It just flew by. I did have the USO and Food Pantry. The pantry was fine. The USO was not. We had someone join our group for the shift and I did not like her one single bit. One of the guys loved her and invited her back any time. Ugh! So I may be skipping USO shifts if she joins again.
Other than that. Hmm. I didn't do much reading. I just wasn't into it this week. I did get a drone! And promptly flew it into a wall, freaked out a cat and then lost it the next day for a good half hour when I went to the park. lol I can get it up and have it stay in the air somewhat where I want it now. So we'll see how it goes this coming week. lol

The BIG news is blog related. I'm hosting TWO challenges in October. Hope you'll join us!

Blog Ahead is our blogging challenge. The goal is to up your scheduled/completed posts by 31 and leave last minute blogging in the past! It's great for getting ready for end of school and holiday craziness or any emergencies that pop up.

Annnd the Get Your Shit Together Challenge! This is brand new. The goal...well, get it together! Tackle some of those adulting things you've been putting off, etc. There's a FB group for checking in each day and I think it will be fun despite having to adult for a bit. lol

A Cowboy's Reunion-- It was an okay read. Not bad. Not amazing. A WHOLE LOTTA DRAMA. Some couple related (she might have broken their engagement and run away with his brother years earlier). Some of it family related. They both have some big family issues that are being worked through. It wasn't angsty, though. Just a lot of complicated relationships.

I'm listening to Tumble. It's good and whoa I love the male narrator (Aiden Snow). Yum! It's another oh shit! that's some drama type read. They were on a break years earlier and he might have fucked her best friend and maybe got her pregnant and is now a single daddy (mom bailed) and heroine is back in town after years away. So, yes. Drama! He's a good guy, though. He was just a stupid ass 19 year old once upon a time. lol

AND FOOD

Still collecting some freebies for my birthday. lol HUGE Ruby Tuesday salad that was yummy. My only edible watermelon. 🙄 And a free cheeseburger (veggie one) from B.Good that they gave away for national cheeseburger day. It was okay. But fun to try a new to me restaurant for free!

Top Three: Books On My Fall 2019 TBR

Hmmm. I don't have a huge list at the moment. These three are ones that are still on my list from my Spring TBR pile. So I definitely need to make them happen.

I might add a few more to the list later but these popped into my mind first.

Question: Have you ever wished that there were official government bookish holidays, and that, by law, employers HAD to give their workers a paid day off? If so, what kind of bookish holiday would you like to have?
A: I mean, I've wished for a day off of everything to just read but, no, I don't think employers should have to pay people for a day off to read. 🙄
