A to Z and everything in between!

I survived my first year of the Blogging from A to Z Challenge!!! Woohoo! Wow that was something else. It's my first year blogging in general and I thought this would just be a piece of cake. Smirk. Was a lot harder that I expected!

26 days. 26 posts. One for each letter of the alphabet.

It got a little rough there a few days towards the end. I mean, X, really?! Just not my letter.

Found some great blogs to follow, learned a good bit from other peoples travels, passions, careers. Was very interesting to see what people came up with. The themes or bits of randomness that popped into their heads.

I thought my posts would be pretty random but realized about half way through that everything I was posting did have a theme. They're all things I love and surround myself with. I mean, other than X, because I still just do not like that letter.

I had a great time and am glad I joined up for the challenge. Thanks to everyone who helped put it together. I'll definitely be back next year to give it another go.

I hope yall enjoyed all the posts. If you want to check them out they're still listed on the right side of the blog. Pretty boys, cupcakes from hell, penis biting turtles, road kill peep s'mores, ketchup ,cat yodeling

Yeah, it was an interesting month :)

So what did yall think of the A to Z challenge?! Anyone going to try it next year?

I didn't have enough time during the month to visit as many as I'd hoped to. Trying to catch up now. It was a great thing to be part of. Next year? This was my first too and knowing me I'm probably hooked!

  7. A to Z is definitely a Challenge, but just the thing for a first year blogger to tackle. It really helps to test your blogging mettle. Congratulations for making it to the end with us.

  14. Glad you finished. I'm still in recovery, but enjoying these reflection posts. They add to the A to Z experience and let me visit some blogs that I didn't get to during the challenge. Yours, for example. Congratulations on a job well done.

    1. Thanks :) It does take a little time to recover. I think I might still be doing that too! Loved getting to see so many new blogs. Wish there had been more time to visit them all!

  15. I love the name of your blog...having two cats, and visiting the Moscow Circus, I realized that only the Russians can train a cat!! Congrats for finishing the Challenge!

    1. Thanks Jarm! I can imagine that would be quite the experience. Mine definitely aren't trained. They've trained me maybe ;)

  16. No, no, no, no - only the Russians believe that cats can be trained. That's why they can train them - no-one else bothers. I saw footage of the Russian cats, and decided ok, maybe I will get one (my husband loved cats but I didn't). We got one from the local cat home. she was 4 months ld, and I set about training her. In fact I had to train her as she had terrible food allergies (which was why she was at the home, she'd been returned twice).

It was easy. Much easier than the dog we have subsequently got. She was trained not to go in the kitchen (in case of picking up crumbs). She always sat in the doorway. I trained her not to go on any surface, even the lounge chairs etc, only on our laps. She is allowed on two windowsills, which she keeps to. She comes to call (every time, unlike the dog). She leaves the room immediately if you say 'out'. She stops what she is doing if you say 'no'. She is brilliant, and all it took was believing it can be done.

    1. Oh. My. Word. You so need to come here and give my herd a talking to! The cats just look at me and you can see the smirk in their eyes. Good thing they're lovable ;)

  17. Congrats on finishing! I had a great time. That giant list of participants in the tiny font was hard for me to make a visitation plan with any sense of order ,so now I am pecking though the reflections links list!

    1. Thanks Andrea. That list was crazy. And that it kept changing every day made it even harder since the numbers changed as blogs were removed. Oy!
