Tasty Tuesday: Mini Pizza Biscuits!

Mini Pizza Biscuits!!

LOL Alright I'm totally going the easy route this week because oh my word things are busy between work, volunteering and gearing up for our huge month long Dec "Authors for the Holidays" event.

So this week I snagged a fun little recipe from my friend Tonya who shared it in a recipe group :)

They're darling and tasty and perfect for a quick something fun. So thank ya Tonya!

Easy ingredients. I used the last of my fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden.
Love that everyone could make their pizzas just how they wanted :)

On a floured surface roll out each of your biscuits until they are about 4 inches across.

In a 425 degree oven bake for 7 minutes.
[the ones on the left side have been flipped over after cooking]

Flip the "rolls" and add your sauce, cheese and toppings.
Bake an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is nicely melted.

Yum. These were great and really hit the spot.

Mini Pizza Biscuits Recipe
1 can biscuits (large sized)
1 jar pizza/tomato sauce
shredded mozzarella cheese
toppings of choice
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  • Roll out biscuits until around 4 inches across on a floured surface
  • Bake for 7 minutes
  • Flip pizza crusts over and add sauce, cheese, toppings of choice to the browned side
  • Bake an additional 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is slightly browned

What do yall think of Tonya's quick and easy pizzas?
Any of yall do something similar? Or have a fun little "recipe" like this you like to make?

  1. These look really good. Will have to try with my 4 little ones. We make a pocket pita pizza that is similar but made with hamburger buns. It's more like a deep dish pizza. Yum and thanks for the great idea:)

    1. lol. Definitely! Something quick when you're finished with the holiday cooking and leftovers :)

That's my favorite kind too. Love the summer when there's always fresh basil and tomatoes from the garden!

      Have a great Thanksgiving!

  4. Oh, Pat, that is so true! We almost always have pizza on the Friday after Thanksgiving. I'm so glad you like them Anna! My son asks me to make these at least once a week. There'a another one I make with the Pillsbury crescent rolls. Separate them into triangles, put pepperoni and cheese or whatever you want and then roll them up & bake them. Then you dip them in pizza sauce or ranch dip/dressing.

    1. Mmm yeah I'm gonna have to try the crescent rolls Tonya! I had to resist buying more biscuits last night but man I wanted to make em again. lol. Next time I think I'm going with the jumbo biscuits instead of the regular sized.

Have a great holiday weekend :) And thanks again for the yummy snack idea!

  5. I love these things. We always have little bits of stuff in the fridge that can get used up on these. Mushrooms, onions, veggies, meats, etc. They are just the right size. Just a little add on that husband likes. I buy the second to the smallest size of tortillas. Almost always have them on hand. He puts them in a pan, adds sauce (spag sauce, pizza sauce, alfredo sauce...then anything he finds and tops with cheese. Heats just for a minute. Its like a very very thin crust pizza and he loves them. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
Thanks for all your hard work Herding!! :-)

    1. Ooo I've got some of those in the fridge now. Dinner maybe?! It is perfect when you just have a little of things and not enough to make a full meal with them but don't want to toss them out.

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving too!

  6. Oh and I love the triangles too, Southerngirl. I always over fill them, so they are dripping with toppings. Even though they arent very big, it feels extravagant to have it dripping like that!! LOL

    1. Yeah. My mouth totally just watered. And darn it I'm at work and have nothing yummy to indulge in other than mandarin orange soda which just isn't the same. lol

    2. I like to use bacon too (instead of pepperoni). I cook the bacon then put it & some cheese on the crescent rolls then roll them up. And I've found that if I leave 2 of the crescent rolls together & seal the perforation that it's much easier to fill & roll them as a rectangle than as a triangle. I hope that makes sense. LOL The bacon & cheese are good with ranch dip.

  8. They may be easy, but they're good! :) I use biscuits to make small add-your-own-ingredient pizzas all the time! I think I may have to do this again in the next week--you now, as a break from all the cooking that will be done tomorrow! Heck, if I can't get the turkey thawed by morning, maybe this will be our meal tomrorow! LOL. [I make this mistake every year, not buying it early enough to thaw in my cold fridge, and I almost always have to put it in cold water bath, with a small drizzle of water, all night long.]

Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful holiday--those of you going to Black Friday sales, be safe!

    Enjoy1

  9. Here's another recipe I use but I don't use sausage. I layer pepperoni & cheese (2 layers ending with cheese on top) and I use a regular size muffin pan & I don't separate the biscuits. So, not really this recipe at all but it's where I got the idea for what I make. LOL

    1. You're welcome :) Yep definitely nice when you don't want to run to the store for a pizza and want something tasty real quick. I swear I could live off pizza and all it's variations and be a very happy girl.
