So, I pretty much loved this book. Everything about it. From the older hero and the younger heroine--Alex is 37 and Janey 23--to the steamy goodness that heats up between them to the meddling family that surrounds them. Add in a bit of danger as Janey's life is threatened and I was all in.

The quick of it is that Alex has wanted Janey for years. And she's wanted him just as long but age, family and life have had them keeping their affections hidden from each other but things have changed and Alex has had enough waiting and come to claim his woman. Much to the eventual delight of Janey.

I really enjoyed both Janey and Alex. My God. He's a sexy bit of man and just hit all my buttons. He's battle hardened from life and his career but he can be so sweet and gentle too and was just swoonworthy and sexy as hell in all his alpha male glory. And Janey was an awesome heroine. She's young and inexperienced in life because of her upbringing but she doesn't come across that way. She's got spunk and holds her head high despite the way people gossip about her and how they treat her because of her father's actions--he was of the villainous sort. I was totally in her corner.

And together these two are freaking scorching hot. Damn. Yeah. They fit together nicely and I loved every second of it. ::shivers:: Definite perks of an older man. *nods* These two bicker and tease and push each others buttons in the best way.

The romance and heat kept me turning the pages but the suspense did as well. I had some inklings as to who was after her but really didn't see the ending coming and things turned out different than expected which is always kinda fun. Love those surprises that really...work.
