Plan of action?
A three month trip to Ireland to soak up all the sexy Irishmen and their pant-worthy accents. Mmhm.
Pretty much what prudent and rather predictable Sarah has decided to do. Yup. She sure has. And turns out her new landlord? A pub owner who rocks some sexy Irishman vibes real hard and isn't afraid to flirt in her direction. Woo! Yes. Kiss of the Irish was a steamy little read and quite a bit of fun.
The Hot & Sexy:
- Cian was sin walking. All Irish, tattooed and pierced. He was yummy and a bit flirty.
- Sarah was a fun heroine. She's innocent and sweet and I enjoyed her reactions to Cian's more salacious ways. It was nice watching her figure out what she wanted when away from the expectations/pressures of home.
- They had great chemistry and the sexy bits were flipping hot. I really had a good time with their non naughty moments, too.
- I really liked the setting of the Irish pub that Cian owned. The vibe was wonderful and I totally wanted to sit down for a pint with everyone.
- And I enjoyed the secondary characters. They were fun and I really liked how they pulled Sarah--the virtual outsider-- into their group. It was lovely and makes me want their stories.
- #PiercedPeckerTease #CrushedPenisDreams #TheForgottenCock #UpYourEditingGame Yeah. So the hero supposedly had a pierced cock. He pondered what the heroine--who was obsessed with piercings-- would think when she saw it. And I'm all WOOHOO!! Yall know I love me a pierced cock. But then... it was never mentioned again. EVER. Not when they had sex the first time. Or the second or ever again. How do you miss that opportunity?! I mean. She thought about his pierced eyebrow during sex but not the pierced cock that was supposedly doing wicked things inside her? Grr! I was really disappointed and even contacted the publisher about it. Supposedly they were going to work with the author to fix this but then ignored my follow up emails prior to release and 10 days after release no word so I'm writing the review and rating it as it was sent to me. And that...is disappointing. It would have been a 3.5 to maybe even 4 had that not been an issue but this is seriously bad editing and lack of attention.
- The heroine had a huge overreaction at the end over something very sweet the hero did and had me rolling my eyes.
If Sarah Mercer had ever been asked to describe herself in one word, it would be sensible. After all, she had a steady job. Made prudent decisions. Was in what she though was a logical relationship. But when her fiance dumps her for an exotic dancer, Sarah decides it’s time to change…everything! The first thing on her agenda? To get out of town and take a three month trip to Ireland. She’d always been captivated by the Emerald Isle. And she’d heard that there was nothing like an Irishman with a sexy accent and eyes as devastatingly green as the country’s rolling hills to make a girl feel better.
But maybe she shouldn’t have hooked up with her new landlord on the first night in town. Cian Murphy wasn’t supposed to be her type. His arms and chest were tattooed, and he had piercings everywhere. Still, he made her feel beautiful, sexy…alive for the first time in years. Falling for the Irish hottie was as natural as breathing. But figuring out what she’d do when it came time to leave? Not so easy...
