[memes] New Arrivals, Bookstores & Books I'm Thankful For!

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

Whew, yall. Thanksgiving week. That just does not seem possible! It's been a semi-busy week here. I've had insanely productive days followed by days of slug imitation. They kinda balance each other out. lol

I've been doing a ton of blogging which I didn't manage during Blog Ahead and it feels amazing! I already have half my planner doodled for 2018 (months and first 2 weeks plus tracking pages) and have 11 posts for Jan finished and 1 review for April done. Woo! Plus another 3 I'm in the middle of writing for Jan. Yall! It's making me giddy. lol

The herd is doing well, too, save for one who is feeling poorly. We're likely going to make a vet visit this week for Sidney since she didn't bounce back over the weekend. But other than that everyone's doing fine.

For Review

I picked up 2 from NG this week. Finished The Lady in Red and enjoyed it. It's just a quick non-Christmas novella (weird cover choice!) and then last night Dirty Scoundrel so I've not started that one yet.

Purchased

*All were free at time of purchase.

Won/Gifted

I received an early Christmas present from St. Martin's as a thank you for working with them--The Christmas Cowboy Hero and The Scot Beds His Wife. It was lovely with it's glittery gold wrapping. And those covers! Noms!

Last Read

the lady in red-- a nice novella about 2 artists
the final score-- super hot footballer. loved this one.
wicked ride--meh
holding strong-- I missed Foster. Had a good time with this one.

Currently Reading

Doing a re-read of About That Kiss because apparently I was so giddy after reading it last time I forgot to actually do the review. *hangs head* But at least it's not due until Jan. So a re-read this week.

Top Ten: Books I'm Thankful For
(happy Thanksgiving!)

Covers link to Amazon.

My top book I'm thankful for is One for the Money. This is the book that got me into reading as an adult and actually enjoying it. I don't read the series anymore but that book will always be special because of all the worlds it opened up for me.

Robb's series is just my favorite of everything possible. It's the world I'd most love to visit and characters I'd love to meet. I'm amazed that after 40+ book it still feels fresh and unique.

Lover Awakened. I mean. Zsadist. I'm so thankful I met him.

A Virgin River Christmas. This one is one that made me fall for Christmas books. It's an incredible story and left me rather wrecked in spots.

I do love my kink and am so thankful for these two. I love exploring new fetishes and kinks with their books. These would be great choices if you're curious about erotic romance or want to see what it can really offer.

Sweet as Sin got me giddy about reading again this year. And Fly With Me was just a stunning read that had me bawling and just in aw of the series. And Just a Hint Clint. I think I love this one because the hero isn't the "perfect" male image but he's amazing and such a hero. I'm thankful for authors who give regular guys and gals books instead of making them the "ideal".

Question: What's your immediate feeling when entering a bookstore vs a department store?
A: Eh. Not much different. I'm not a huge fan of either. The only bookstore we have here is Barnes & Noble and personally I feel they're a waste of space. They rarely have the books I want but... "can order it for you". Yeah, I can do that from home for cheaper, thanks. Now, when we had used book stores here...woo! totally different story. Giddy and excited. I love a good used bookstore. I miss having them around here.
