3.5 stars--Extreme Honor (True Heroes #1) by Piper J. Drake

Light and easy romantic suspense with fantastic main characters and a fierce and troubled pooch. I had a good time with Extreme Honor. It could be a little predictable where the suspense was concerned but was easy, entertaining and hit the spot as dog trainers Lyn and David gave their all to helping a military pup overcome the loss of his handler and the traumas of was the still haunt him mentally and physically.

Soooo. Quote-tastic, erm, almost Wednesday this week. Someone *looks around* may have misplaced her book and just found it. Maybe. Anywho...Jill Shalvis!!! Yall know I love me some Jill Shalvis. The woman is freaking genius! My Kind of Wonderful was so damn good and this one just had me cracking up. The hero and heroine are going skiing (he's giving her a lesson) and on the lift she's trying to get to know him a little better. I loved her throw down. lol

4 stars--Dragon Storm (Black Dragons, #2) by Katie MacAlister

Woohoo! Dragons! Gah I love their cocky asses. And Constantine...oh what a fine ass he had. lol

The quick of it is that dragonkin have a problem. They've been cursed so that none of the dragon septs are able to talk to each other and they've got to find a way to break this curse. Enter Bee...A Charmer. It's her job to unravel the curse. Only things go askance and she gets trapped in Abaddon (hell) in the process and rescued by the aforementioned dragon of the fine ass...Constantine who's a kinda dead dragon spirit and determined to save the dragons. It's...complicated. There's a talking severed head in a hamster ball too. *nods* Complicated.

The Highlander's Accidental Marriage by Callie Hutton & Something Like Love by Sara Richardson

The Highlander's Accidental Marriage (Marriage Mart Mayhem #6) by Callie Hutton

Oh be careful what you say! You may just end up accidentally married to a highlander. who's a professor. crazy smart and rocks some glasses. Second thought. Totally do that! Doooo it!! He's yummy! #SnagYourMan

The quick of it is that Sarah is basically on the worst trip ever. She's traveling to see her sister in Scotland and nothing has gone right. Carriage accidents, deaths, a sickly maid, broken carriage wheels and, well, accidentally hitching herself to the good Samaritan who saved her along the way. It's been a rough go and everything is a complicated confusing mess!

Today's pick is Steal Me by Lauren Layne. It was such a fun read! It's a whole family of cops in New York and gah I just love this family. This is one of their Sunday breakfasts at a dinner where the heroine works. I so loved the heroine's response. She definitely has a little fire in her which was definitely needed to keep up with this big rowdy family...

#CountdownToChristmas--4 stars--One Wild Winter's Eve (Honeycote, #4) by Anne Barton

Lovely and unique. Barton never fails at delivering gorgeous romances between characters that are full of fire, life and the determination to be true to themselves. The ton be damned! (gah I love that!) One Wild Winter's Eve was quite the adventure as Rose goes searching for information about her long lost mama who abandoned the family years ago and instead comes face to face with a man from her past.

4 stars--Hope Springs on Main Street (Briar Creek, #3) by Olivia Miles

Single mama v. scummy ex's best friend. Who adores her daughter too. Pajama parties. Amazing families. And the feels. All the feels. #LovelyRomance #BringOnTheSwoon

Olivia Miles' books always give my heart a little squeeze. Beautiful and touching. Hope Springs on Main Street was the perfect read for a Fall afternoon and a lovely second chance romance as childhood friends finally realize they may have been meant for more.

The quick of it is that Jane's ex-husband is a complete fucking asshole and Jane is trying to move on and keep it together now that she's a single mom. And her life has just gotten even more complicated when the scummy ex's best friend comes back to town to deal with his own demons and despite calling it quits on the male population sparks start to fly...

#CountdownToChristmas-- Snowbound at Christmas (Christmas, Colorado #5) by Debbie Mason

Loved. It. Snowbound at Christmas was an absolute delight! Hot hunky hero, stellar heroine, the magic of Christmas and danger around every corner. The perfect read to snuggle down with on a cold day with a hot cup of chocolate in hand.

The quick of it is that someone is trying to kill Cat's sister Chloe who is an actress. And Cat's determined to find out who's behind all the "accidents" her twin keeps having. Everyone is a suspect. Including the hottie British actor who's suddenly come to town and is now working with her sister. He's hiding some secrets that's for sure but maybe not the one's Cat thinks...

#CountdownToChristmas--A Bad Boy for Christmas (Second Chance #3) by Jessica Lemmon

Best Christmas book I've read all year! A Bad Boy for Christmas was everything. Heartfelt, sexy, full of humor and good friends, falling in love with all it's yummy bits and pieces. Holidays, family, make you sign sweetness and lots and lots of dessert. Total win from page one to the very last word.

The quick of it is that Faith is over men. <and whew I can't blame her. her ex was a piece.of.work> And this is a problem for Connor since he totally has a thing for her and wants to get real close to her. A couple scary movies with the girls and a creepy noise outside her door and BOOM! he's got his chance and is totally taking it. He's gonna stick to her like glue...you know...just in case there really is danger a brewing :D

Countdown to Christmas! Unwrapped (Hunk for the Holidays #3) by Katie Lane

Merry Christmas! May your relatives be sane or your eggnog heavily spiked! I lurve me some Katie Lane and am always ready for some of her saucy humor. Add in a little Christmas magic, a rowdy mass of relatives and a hero in for the surprise of his life and Unwrapped turned into fun little taste of the holiday spirit.

The quick of it is that Jac's auntie was a kook and in order to claim her inheritance she's gotta get hitched. Lucky for her the Fates have brought a one night stand from weeks earlier into her life just in time for her to snag her a hubby for the holidays.

3.5 stars--Sinfully Yours (Hellions of High Street #2) by Cara Elliott

historical romance, cara elliott
The heroine's name is Anna!!! And she's an author! Okay, so I only write about books but woohoo! for an Anna!

Sinfully Yours was what I would call an easy read. Easy to get into with an easy plot and romance and likable characters. It was one of those books that just rolled along--and I don't mean that in a bad way. It was a delightful escape for a lazy afternoon or a stressful day when I needed something simple and that would soothe and leave me content. A light read with a little humor and intrigue, some nice sexual tension and a little heat. It was a spot predictable in some ways but, again, sometimes you just need that easy read.

Frisk Me (New York's Finest #1) by Lauren Layne

So. This is going to be a weird review because Frisk Me left me feeling very conflicted and split pretty much down the middle on what I thought about it. So in a way I'm going to do two reviews.

But first the quick of it. Luc is a cop in NYC and he's in the spotlight because he's...a hero. He rescued a little girl who fell into the river and saved her life and just happened to get caught on camera doing so and now he's a wee bit famous and being targeted by a national news station and their reporter, Ava, who want to do a 3 hour special on him. And his bosses at the precinct aren't giving him much of a choice. He's gonna chat it up with this reporter and she's gonna follow him around near constantly for a few weeks to get an in depth look at the man behind the badge.

Dragon Fall (Black Dragons #1) by Katie MacAlister

Dragon Fall was a fun revisit into the world of her Dragon Septs and all their growly, quirky, arrogant splendor. The quick of it is that 2 years ago Aoife saw a guy get killed...and then come back from the dead. And she kind of flipped her shit and wound up in a mental hospital until they could get her back to the land of the non-crazy. She's finally been released (woohoo!) and things are going great until... a talking demon dog and a bunch of angry dragons show up front and center. One she's got all kinds of lusty thoughts about and a pack of them that are trying to kill her lustworthy dragon. While it wasn't the perfect read it was a fun little dragony romp as the dragons try to break a curse that's been laid down and prevents the different dragon septs from being anywhere near each other without trying to kill or maim one another. So. 5 things about Dragon Fall.

Soooo. This one's a little early since Total Surrender doesn't release until next week but I figured...it needed to be done. I just loved these two little exchanges. One of my favorite things about this series is that the guys are way over the top alpha. That's how they were made. But the women are tough as hell and aren't afraid to give the guys a piece of their mind or let it be known when they..are...pissed.

Blind Faith (Sin Brothers #3) by Rebecca Zanetti

For Nate Dean, love is a four-letter word. As part of a secret black-ops military unit, he and his brothers were genetically engineered by the government to be ruthless soldiers with an expiration date. They were loyal only to one another . . . until Nate laid eyes on the woman who stole his heart and blew his world apart. Now, years later, his family is still paying the price for his mistake. But as time runs out, there's only one person who can save his family: the very woman Nate swore he'd never trust again.

The moment Audrey Madison spies Nate across a crowded ballroom, she can barely breathe. He's just as undeniably sexy as she remembers, yet there's an edge to him now that's as irresistible as it is dangerous. When he asks for her help, Audrey can't refuse. But she has secrets of her own--secrets that, if Nate ever discovers them, may cost them both their lives . . .

Type: Romantic Suspense
Heat: 3 out of 5 (though fairly limited)
Rating: 4 out of 5

Damn! Zanetti totally rocks some romantic suspense! Blind Faith...heart pounding...jaw dropping...make a girl swoon romance. Basically. It's a must read and bound to keep you up way past your bedtime. And it's so damn worth the missed sleep as Nate and Audrey get a second chance at romance and fight to stay alive.

Well hello yummy cowboy! Whew! The Rebel of Copper Creek was just brimming with delicious cowboys and military men. Gah, but I do love that combo! And I had a nice time with this one as Griff and Juliet end up spending quite a bit of time together when Juliet and her two little boys find themselves in a dangerous situation--someone is threatening her--and Griff decides to take it upon himself to keep them safe while the threat is eliminated. It was a sweet romance, a lovely setting and full of honest and good-to-their-souls people.
