4 stars--Eventide of the Bear (The Wild Hunt Legacy, #3) by Cherise Sinclair

Werebears!!!! We have werebears!!! *squeals of delight*

Eventide of the Bear was so not what I was expecting but I loved it and had a blast as Emma, Ben, and Ryder get all domesticated without even realizing it.

Okay so the quick of it is that years ago Emma was banished by her town. She's lived alone in the woods and isn't allowed any contact with their kind because of what she'd done. But things change all up after she's seriously injured trying to save some human kids and the local shifter group discovers her existence. Until she's all healed up and they can figure out what to do with her? She's gonna be under the watchful eyes and paws of one of the single bears in town. And while all that healing happens and attraction starts to swirl about even more excitement lands on their door in the form of Ben's long estranged brother. Lots of growling, purring and maybe some petting ensue.

#AFTH2015 w/ Cherise Sinclair-- a visit with the Masters!

Cherise Sinclair is hijacking the blog today! Yall. She's one of the authors that's pretty special to me. She was my first venture into BDSM romance and one of the first erotic authors I tried out years ago. I was immediately hooked!

Her books are, whew, hot and steamy! but full of so much humor (you'll see below) and heart as well. Amazing romances, lust-worthy heroes and women who are so dang strong and beautiful and aren't all exactly the same. Curvy heroines, slender ones, ones with imperfect bodies. I love that they feel like real women and ones you could easily know. It makes them feel a bit more special to me I think.

A little different review today. Sophia from over at DelightedReader and I were chatting about never getting to re-read our old favorites so we're taking today to hit the archives and review some of our old favorites. I picked Club Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair. She was one of my first erotic romance authors and my very very first BDSM read (and still one of my favorites). Anywho. Book one...

If you've been around you know I freaking love the Shadowlands. Mmmm. If there was ever something that could tempt me into actually moving back to Florida it would be Club Shadowlands and the luscious, swoonworthy Masters that work, play and love there. Seriously these men are all kinds of make your panties melt hot. Especially Master Z who runs the place and his brand new subbie, Jessica.

Oh yes, Doms of Dark Haven was an absolute treat of an anthology! A Victorian style theme night at Dark Haven and three couples finding all kinds of kinky mischief to get up to. I loved the set up. Each author focused on one couple during the theme night. There were slight overlaps as the different characters ran into each other during the night and it was just so much fun seeing those connections during this slice of time. This was a very hot and steamy read and a nice showcase of the three authors. While they all didn't hit me quite as hard I enjoyed each of the offerings and can't wait to read more from each of the ladies.

Oh I do love the Shadowlands. And this week's Quote-tastic is from the new novella from Cherise Sinclair. This is a set of novellas from different authors that are connected by a girl from current times that finds herself trapped in a story she read and only able to stay alive by telling the King different tales she remembers so he'll spare her life to hear more. And this time it's Jake and Rainie from the Shadowlands story. Kinda neat but other than the intro the "story teller" doesn't come into play again during the novella.

Anyways. This one was pretty hot and had some great scenes. I love these two moments. The first for his response and the second for hers.

And I've now Google searched...pervertables, fire play--which omg I'm so curious!-- vampire claws and a variety of Spanish swears! Damn but it's fun reading one of Sinclair's books. lol I absolutely love this series and have never been disappointed but going in I knew it would be hard to read parts of To Command and Collar as Raoul helps Kim deal with escaping a sex slave ring and they continue working to save the other women still in it's grasp.
