2 stars-- Her Greek Tycoon by Mona Risk

Oh dear. Orgasms are not true love. They really aren't. Stefano and Ashley, though, whew, they do not understand that at all. lol

I saw this one and thought the cover was so cute and Greece? Yes, please! Sadly...it turned into a no thanks.
The Gist: The fate of an old villa is at risk. Stefano has partially inherited it and wants to tear it down. The other owner, however, sends his granddaughter Ashley to save that same building. When she gets there and a hot guy invites her for a yacht ride? Well she's all over that!

Hot As Sin (Bad Habit #3.5) by J.T. Geissinger

Oh Barney. He was one of my favorite secondary characters throughout this series and I've been dying for more of him. Hot as Sin, though. Totally bittersweet.
The Gist: For years Barney has protected the guys in the Bad Habit band. They're his family. But he's leaving them to take a job across the country. And this was the big goodbye.

4 stars-- Saving the Sheriff (Three River Ranch #3.5) by Roxanne Snopek

Oh my gosh. So cute. Like, seriously, so flipping cute! Saving the Sheriff... total warm Christmas fuzzies. Yall!
The Gist: Sometimes a girl has to kidnap a herd of reindeer while dressed as an elf. And sometimes the Universe has a merry laugh and she winds up in a snowbank and being rescued by the town's sheriff who's name is Rudolph. Yeah.

4 stars-- Close to the Bone (Widow's Island #1) by Kendra Elliot

Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!

Close to the Bone was my first time with Elliot. And, oh, yall, I enjoyed it! I picked it up because I have been loving Melinda Leigh. They co-write this series and Leigh writes book 2. So a new author to try. And she was fun!
The Gist: Cate's been sent home to the island she grew up on to recuperate after being shot on the job. But during her down time...bones are found and with no one able to travel to the island she's called up to work the case. One that might be quite personal depending on who's bones they turn out to be.

1 star-- The Rescuer by Ann Omasta

Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!

What the fresh fucking hell?! This is one of those reads someone should have stepped in and said no. Just...no. What a ridiculous mess. I'm actually kind of pissed it wasted my time. Yall. I'm about to have me a rant. So, yeah, there will be spoilers in this review.
The Gist: The heroine finds herself at the bank during a robbery and offers herself up as the hostage so they'll leave a little deaf girl alone. She'd been eye fucking the girl's daddy while waiting in line and just couldn't let her be taken.

4 stars-- Keep Me, Cowboy (77th Copper Mountain Rodeo #3) by Nicole Helm

Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!

Oh goodness. Helm does know how to give you down to their bones fucked up and broken characters and make you ache for them. Keep Me, Cowboy was a short read but one full of feels as a family is forced to face how messed up they've become over the years and tries to piece their lives back together.
The Gist: 10 years earlier Cole left town and the girl he loved. He thought he was doing the right thing at the time but now that she's forcing him to come back to town and face his family (the one she wishes were her own) and her? Well, he's realizing maybe he hadn't had it right all those years ago after all.

3 stars-- Shoulda Been a Cowboy (Copper Ridge 0.5) by Maisey Yates

Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!

Shoulda Been a Cowboy, indeed. Hes a mechanic, though. Still pretty dang sexy and worth a lick 😉
The Gist: It's been 15 years since Jake and Cassie's high school friendship was put on hold when he left town unexpectedly. He's come home to deal with his father's estate. She happens to rent one of the buildings he's planning on selling. Oy!

4 stars-- Hard Riding Cowboy (Gold Valley #2.5) by Maisey Yates

Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!

A sexy-sweet quickie. Just what I needed. I had a good time with Hard Riding Cowboy. Including the meet cute where the heroine is checking out a guy's ass in line and thinking dayum! then he turns around and she realizes that omg I used to babysit him! And promptly has a mental freak out because eeeeewwwwww lol
The Gist: Lauren's moving back home with her two girls after being widowed and her soon to be new house needs a lot of work. And the aforementioned owner of the hot ass decides he's going to be the one to help her since this girl has been his every fantasy since he was 12 years old. And, well, sparks, emotions and clothing fly!

4 stars-- One Night of Scandal (After Hours #2) by Elle Kennedy

Ahhh yes. One Night of Scandal heated things up quite nicely.
The Gist: Reed and Darcy. Well they've found themselves in a scandalous fling after Darcy breaks up with Reed's best friend and, well, they realize they can't be in arms distance of each other without clothes flying. But it's just a fling. They absolutely will not under any circumstances get serious. Just a fling. Just. A. Fling.

3/3.5 stars-- Mail Order Cowboy (Gold Valley #1.5) by Maisey Yates

A little time with Yates's cowboys...is always time well spent. I enjoyed Mail Order Cowboy. It was a sweet little novella.
The Gist: Jackson? Well he's an overwhelmed new (single) daddy in need of some help. So he orders himself a nanny. Mmhm. He sure does. And whoboy does that shake things up on the home front.

4 stars-- Cowboy Christmas Blues (Gold Valley 0.5) by Maisey Yates

Damn Maisey Yates making me cry! Every blasted time. And even with a short little novella. *flails* But, yeah, Cowboy Christmas Blues got me.
The Gist: Cooper has reluctantly come home for Christmas. He does NOT like coming home especially during the holidays because it reminds him of his sister who died but his parents asked him. So drinking? Yeah, gonna happen. Random hook up? Yep. Check that right off. Accidentally doing the latter with a long lost childhood friend and not realizing it was her? Oops! #SomeonesGonnaBePissed

4 stars-- The Irishman's Christmas Gamble (Wager of Hearts #2.5) by Nancy Herkness

Yay! I love this series from Herkness and had been hoping for Frankie's story.
The series is about a trio of billionaires who make a bet to find...true love. And Frankie's the lady who owns the swanky club where they make the bet. The whole series I'd been like I neeeeeeeeed Frankie's story! And then I spotted The Irishman's Christmas Gamble. *squees of delight* lol

So I Christmased in June.

4 stars-- Holiday Wishes (Heartbreaker Bay #4.5) by Jill Shalvis

Yall. It's a Jill Shalvis. You know I'm gonna love it. And Holiday Wishes? Totally holiday cuteness.

So, yes. A wedding weekend getaway to a quaint little inn in the country. How fun! And awkward when the inn keeper? Turns out to e the lady you lost your virginity to years earlier and who may be pretending to have no clue who you are because, yeah, you fucked things up right good all those years ago. Mmhm. #ShesStillALittleUpset #MaybeAnOrgasmWillFixThings

4 stars-- Once Upon a Maiden Lane (Maiden Lane #12.5) by Elizabeth Hoyt

I needed a little romance this morning.

And Henry? Oh, Henry was ready to step up give me a little shiver.

Basically, Henry's spent his whole life knowing he'd marry a family friend--their parents arranged it. But, suddenly, he's found himself engaged to someone else. Someone who's feeling a little insecure about how little time they've had to learn one another.

4 stars-- The Dispatcher by John Scalzi

Oh this was fun. The Dispatcher was a little different than my normal grab but I've been on an audio binge lately and it was in my cloud and I figured...why not. It's quick read but quite entertaining.

The Story:

The basic gist is that you can no longer be murdered. Well, not easily. If someone kills you? Your body kind of goes poof! and you wind up back at your home all in one piece--though naked-- and ready to have another go at things.

And the hero, Tony? He kills people.

3.5 stars-- Goofy Newfies by Ann Omasta

Look at that cover! Adorable! Goofy Newfies was fun, too, as Lily-- our newly widowed and crotchety heroine-- meets her match in a wiggly little newfie escape artist and his hunky foster daddy who is trying to find homes for the herd of darling little puppies.

4 stars-- Dealing with Annie (Cooper's Corner #17) by Jill Shalvis #QuoteTastic

Jill Shalvis!!! So. This one went through my feed the other day on a 99cent sale and I was all OMG how did I not know this book existed?!!

Okay so the hero. He's been injured on the job and banished to his brother's farm and he and Augustine. Well...

Bite Sized Reviews-- Roped by EM Gayle & Ivan by Roxie Rivera

A couple really quick reviews for today! Both of these were freebies and ones I read a couple years back but just haven't published the reviews. I suck. I know. lol They were both fun tastes of the series they kick off and the authors-- both of which were new to me at the time. A little BDSM with EM Gayle's Roped and some Russian alpha male with Ivan by Roxy Rivera :D

3 stars-- A Princess in Maine (McCullagh Inn #3) by Jen McLaughlin

A Princess in Maine was a cute little catch up with newlyweds, Chelsea and Jeremy, who run the McCullagh Inn in Maine.

This time...they're planning a wedding that will put their little Inn on the map. A royal wedding at that! The clock is ticking, though, with only two months to plan the entire wedding and doing so...in complete secrecy. Woo!

3.5 stars-- The Return (Sunnybell #2) by Erin Knightley

COWBOYS!!!

Yall know I'm a tart when it comes to cowboys.

Add in that this is by Erin Knightley (one of my local ladies) and I was in! I'd been in a bit of a reading slump and The Return hit the spot.

Basically Mack was in a really bad rodeo accident and has ended up back home injured and broke and desperately needing his ex's help. Something she's not all that inclined to offer since he really fucked up right good when they were teens-- I was NOT pleased with him, yall. I mean. He had the cowboy thing working for him still but homeboy was in the dog house. Mmhm.

Anywho. A bargain is made--she'll help him out with his problem-- losing his sponsor who happens to be her uncle-- if he'll help her get some connections in the rodeo world she's wanting to break into.
