Hello, everyone! I’m so excited to be here today, you just don’t even know (Thank you, Anna!). For those of you who don’t know me:
- Yes, it’s a pen name and
- It’s a play on tiramisu
I write mostly BDSM romances, but lately I’ve branched out into romantic suspense. My first published work was actually a squeaky clean romance under a different name (It’s no longer available to buy), so not only do I read a wide variety of books, I write them as well.
But today I want to talk to you about my perfect Christmas breakfast. I don’t know how long I’ve been cooking this for Christmas breakfast, but we were out of town a few years ago and staying in a hotel and my kids were all, “What do you mean we’re not having the casserole for Christmas breakfast? It’s not Christmas without it!”
They were unconvinced this meant I couldn’t produce the Christmas casserole.
If you’re like me, you’ve had plenty of breakfast casseroles. You might even have your favorite. But this one’s different. 99% of the recipes I’ve seen have you cut up bread into cubes and mix them together with the eggs and cheese. Me, personally? I don’t like soggy bread, so while the casserole has some of my favorite things in it (cheese and sausage), the soggy bread takes away some of the yum.
I wish I could remember who gave me this recipe, I’d like to thank them! Because THIS recipe, has no soggy bread and that’s why I enjoy it so much. However, please note that it does state to put everything together the night before so the casserole can sit in your fridge overnight. And while it can be a bit of a pain to use part of your Christmas Eve to do so, it’s completely worth it on Christmas morning when all you have to do is preheat the oven.
Trust me, you’ll love this casserole. In fact, Youngest has been a vegetarian since July and she said that she was going to eat some this year!
