Damn. There is just something about a man in a suit. The second I saw this cover I knew I was going to need to read A Brother's Honor. Yes, yes. I know. I'm a cover whore. I'm good with it LOL and I'm really glad I gave this one a read. It did take me a little while to warm up and get pulled in by the storyline but by the end of the book I was antsy and flipping pages as fast as I could.

A Brother's Honor is more like a series set up than a stand alone romance because not only do you meet Jace and his heroine but you also get really substantial peeks into his brother's lives, her family dynamic, his father's plight in prison for supposedly murdering their mother years earlier and the brothers coming together to save and root out a traitor in the company they've just inherited.

While I enjoyed all the different storylines I did feel it made certain parts--and especially the main couples romance-- drag a bit. For example-- Jace and Shauna don't even meet for the first 100 pages and then it's nearly another 100 before even a kiss happens. For the romance junkie in me it was a little painful waiting that long. Once they get going though, whew, things get hot and steamy and even made me go 'aw' a couple times.

Once I got out of the "I want my romance now!" mindset one of the things I enjoyed most about A Brother's Honor was the investigation and mystery surrounding their aeronautics company. There's something very fishy going on and I really enjoyed watching Shauna, who came in as a consultant, and the brothers as they pieced it all together. There were some damn nice surprises I didn't see coming and loved. The last 50 or so pages were very  exciting and flew by incredibly fast.

So, while things got off to a slower start than I tend to like romance-wise Jackson has me hooked by the end. I'm really looking forward to seeing the different brother's stories unfold and their plight to get their father freed from prison. It no doubt will be an interesting ride. I think this one would be great for those that like a slower building romance and a more group focused read.
