Guest Post w/ Melissa Schroeder-- all kinds of firsts...

When this Dom falls hard, he will do anything to protect the woman he loves.

Elias St John has lived a life most people wouldn’t believe. An Aussie by birth, he has found his way to the Big Island working as the right hand man to Joe Kaheaku. When his boss dies and leaves the ranch to Eli and Joe’s niece Crysta Miller, Eli finds himself more than a little attracted to her.
After finding her fiancé in bed with another woman and helping her father through his illness, Crysta is ready for a new start. The offer of the ranch far away from home is perfect. The only problem she has is with Eli who constantly tells her what to do. When an argument turns into a passionate kiss, both of them get more than they were expecting.

Eli finds himself completely enthralled with Crysta as his submissive. As seemingly simple accidents turn deadly, Eli realizes that someone is bent on destroying the ranch by any means possible—even murder.

» WARNING: this book contains the following: A cynical Dom, a woman ready for adventure, Hawaiian cowboys-yeah they have them, horse rides, stunning sunsets and a new island for Addicts to cherish. Remember, it’s Harmless so bring on the ice water and towels.

Hi, everyone! I want to think Herding Cats and Burning Soup for having me here on the blog today.  If you don’t know who I am, my name is Melissa Schroeder. I write romance in genres from historical through futuristic and sensual to erotic. My latest release is A Little Harmless Ride, the ninth book in my Harmless series.

This book has a lot of firsts. The first cowboy, the first time on The Big Island, and it was the first Harmless book on a cover of a national magazine.

The cowboy is someone well known to Harmless Addicts.  Elias St John has been in the last three books and now gets to star in his own book. An Aussie by birth, former military, our cowboy is known as The Delicious Dom since everyone has had a taste. He’s a man who likes a pretty woman but isn’t going to settle down. Or so he thinks.

The Big Island is my favorite of all the islands. Well, I haven’t been to Kauai yet, but I loved how different it was. It was big, hence the name, and still growing thanks to the active volcano. It actually gets snow on the higher elevations and when we travelled there, I loved that we could drive for hours. It has a lot of ranches and farms and is more rural that Oahu, where most of the books take place. It is a different life from Oahu.

And, lastly, I am on the cover of Romantic Times magazine in August which is actually out now. There is an interview in the magazine where I talk about my time as a military brat and wife and our plans for after this phase of our life.    ~Melissa Schroeder

Melissa Schroeder is the author of over fifty short stories, novellas and novels in so many different genres it boggles the mind—not to mention scrambling her brains. She is an Air Force wife, the mother of military brats, and a lover of the absurd. You can find out more about her online:

Want a chance at a 25.00 GC? Well, let Mel know your favorite location for romances? Like the western states, the Northeast hum, exotic locals like the Far East or Europe, or does it not matter?
