4 stars! Tempted in the Tropics (Suddenly Smitten #2) by Tracy March

The only thing they agree on is the sultry heat between them

Nothing’s more important to Paige Ellerbee than her struggling bakery, Sweet Bee’s. When Lane Anderson, the temporary new doctor hot enough to rival McDreamy, moves in next door, though, she’s sure things are looking up. Until he threatens her business in their first conversation.

Lane just wants to practice medicine responsibly—not argue with the flighty bakery owner next door. But when he finds himself traveling down to the Caribbean to play guitar for Paige’s best friend’s wedding, suddenly the sight of the blonde in a bikini eclipses the fact they can’t agree on anything. And as their vacation romance grows, his reservations about starting something after getting burned by love are washed away like sand on the beach.

But once Paige and Lane land back home, will these polar opposites be able to forgive their feud and find lasting love?

Suddenly Smitten, indeed. I am loving this series like you wouldn't believe. It's a sweeter one and never gets hot and heavy but, man, it makes me smile and is just a good time. And Tempted in the Tropics was a delightful addition as Lane and Paige fall victim to a fiery connection, the temptation of the tropics and bit of match making.

I really loved Lane--a tightly laced and uptight doctor-- and Page-- a free spirited baker that doesn't hold her tongue and says what she's thinking. The two were as opposite as can be and omg the sparks and fire start from the second they meet (he's a visiting doc in town and is dissing her magical muffins) and the two keep butting heads in the best way. It's so fun watching these two deal with each other. How they tease and tempt along the way.
(he's playing guitar when this happens)

She leaned in and whispered, "How about some Jason Alden?"

He grinned, flashing his dimples, his eyes glinting in the sun.

Paige's insides swirled. Of all the guys in the world, the hottest one was hers--at least or now.

Never missing a note, he said, '"I've got your big green tractor right here."

She busted out laughing. "Sweet." She looked at him coyly. "You offering me a ride?"

He leveled a sultry gaze on her. "The ride of your life."

Oh my.
The fun part about this one was that the previous characters (from The Practice Proposal) played a big part in the storyline. You can easily read it without book one but it's an extra treat for those who have read it because you get to see Cole and Paige tie the knot in a tropical paradise. It was fun seeing the wedding take place and a bit of match making going on as Lane and Paige get pushed towards each other.

My only complaint was that there was a little too much slang used for my taste and it sometimes felt outdated but other than that I loved every second of watching these two bicker and tease and fall in love. It had one of the best endings and had me tearing all the heck up. Love that!
