4.5 stars! Seducing Cinderella (Fighting for Love #1) by Gina L Maxwell

Mixed martial arts fighter Reid Andrews’s chance to reclaim his title as light heavyweight champ is shattered when he’s injured only months before the rematch. To make sure he’s healed in time, his trainer sends him to recuperate under a professional’s care—Reid’s best friend’s little sister, all grown up.

Disorganized and bookish Lucie Miller needs some professional help of her own. She’d do anything to catch the eye of a doctor she’s crushed on for years, so when Reid offers seduction lessons in exchange for 24/7 conditioning for the biggest fight of his career, Lucie jumps at the chance.

Soon Reid finds him himself in the fight of his life...winning Lucie's heart before she gives it to someone else.

Oh yeah. I've definitely found a new author to stalk. Holy cow. Seducing Cinderella had one seriously drool worthy hero and was a  damn fine story of old family friends running into each other and sparks flying as they help each other out with a couple of problems.

So, Reid is a MMA fighter and has done a number on his arm and needs a bit of TLC of the intense physical therapy kind so he'll be in shape for his next fight. Just so happens his new therapist...is his best friend's baby sister who he hasn't seen in ages. And Lucie, she's in need of a whole different sort of help...namely seduction lessons so she can bag a doctor she's had her eye on but that doesn't really see her. So starts a rather...interesting deal of helping each other out for a couple months.

I really had a good time with these two. They're fun and sexy and I just loved their interactions. The sexual chemistry was on freaking fire and whew *fans self* was good. What I really liked about them though was that, up until the end, when either of them fucked up they knew right away and went about fixing their glorious screw ups properly. I just loved that. And that they had history which always leads to some funny interactions...
“I can’t believe it’s you. Wait, why does my chart say Randy Johnson?”

Reid chuckled at the ridiculous name he used for anonymity.

“It’s an alias.” Wanting to erase the pained look from whatever had happened before he arrived, he gave her a wicked smile and added, “And sometimes a state of being.”

Her brows gathered together for the few seconds it took to sink in, then her cheeks flushed with color and her eyes grew wide. “Reid!”

He couldn't have stopped his laugh if he wanted to. The shocked look on her face was totally worth it. "Come on, Lu-Lu, you can't still be that innocent after all these years."

"My innocence or lack thereof is none of your business, Andrews. And be forewarned: if anyone hears you call me one of those ridiculous nicknames, I'll stab you in the jugular with my pen."

He held up his hands in mock surrender, "Fair enough, Lubert."
Alright, so the sexy bits. Yum. It was so damn good. Especially when the tables were turned and Lucie put her seduction lessons to use and seduced him. Whew baby. And the man goes all growly. I fucking love when they do that. Gah.
“Oh God, Reid," she panted. "What are we doing? This is crazy."

"No," he argued, biting her earlobe and making her gasp from the strange pleasure-pain she was only beginning to learn about. "This is foreplay.”
So, yeah. I was a fan from start to finish. While I wish a couple parts had been more fleshed out--like Lucie's insecurity because of her ex--there wasn't much else I would have changed. I loved watching their arrangement change on them and just getting to know these two who were far more than what everyone sees on the outside. Maxwell really put together a fun, sexy sports romance that left me panting or more. If you like sports romances Seducing Cinderella is definitely one you need to pick up.
