Dead Sexy Dragon (Dragon Heat #1) by Lolita Lopez

The last thing dragon shifter Stig Wyvern needs is his dead friend’s kid sister showing up on his doorstep. He’s just minutes away from entering a mating phase. Sharing his isolated house with the young woman he’s desperately lusted after for quite some time is a recipe for disaster.

But Cora Cardenas has nowhere else to go. She’s in deep trouble with some really nasty people and Stig is the only one who can protect her. That he’s deliciously sexy and makes her tingle with the simplest of smiles is just a bonus.

Cora quickly realizes Stig is hiding something from her. To make matters worse, she’s plagued with breathtakingly naughty dreams starring a shadowed lover who bears a startling resemblance to her host. And just what the hell is going on down in the basement at night?

Stig needs to get Cora out of his house but his inner beast has other ideas. He’s found his mate and she’s not going anywhere...

*girly effing squeal!* New dragon shifters to stalk and swoon over. Gah I'm so excited to have found this series--got a little nudge from Sharonda over at Salacious Reads--and that it got off to such a fun and sexy start. Dead Sexy Dragon was just that. Dead sexy.

I liked both Stig and Cora and loved that they had a previous connection through her brother. So the pretty insta-everything when she ran to him for help really worked. Having no clue about Stig's hidden life--just that she wanted him and wanted him bad--it was fun watching her break him down and seeing her reaction to his big secret side. I loved seeing these two lonely people give into their long felt attraction and form a life together. It was just sweet. And, well, sexy too. Whew, yeah. The steamy bits are nice and steamy and had me fanning myself. There's also a nice bit of humor added to the mix...
By slow degrees, his skin faded back to its normal color.

"Your eyes," Cora said. "They're still, you know, dragony."

He snorted with amusement. "Dragony? Is that even a word?"

"It is now."
One thing I was really pleased with was how easy it was to jump into this world. I never felt confused or like I was missing big parts or getting an over abundance of info that bogged things down. Learning about the world as Cora did really worked and has me completely comfortable in the series already.

Dead Sexy Dragon pulled me right in for the sexy ride. It moved quickly, flowed nicely and was an excellent taste of what's to come in the series and I cannot freaking wait for more dragony goodness from Lopez!
