Look at this cover! Omg I was totally smitten from page one with Love of the Game. Baseball player, people. Baseball player. Yum! And a pretty fun romance that had me smiling and chuckling a few times too. This one just made me snort for some reason. I love the whole Woman! thing.

Royal Princess vs. Hollywood movie star. Oh, yes, things are about to get interesting at the palace! Light hearted and cute! His Royal Princess was a sweet-make-a-girl-smile treat!

The quick of it is that Luke is filming in a tiny European country and his set has just been crash. He assumes by an, erm, escort sent to him for his birthday. In reality? A crown Princess for the country they're filming in. Oops! Thankfully his Princess has a good sense of humor. lol And off they go on a whirlwind romance.

Oh, sweet Jesus. He'd called the fucking royal princess a hooker. He was horrified. Almost. Then he noticed the impish look on her face. And laughed out loud. She'd gotten him.

3.5 stars-- One Night Charmer (Copper Ridge #4) by Maisey Yates

"You sound way too excited about that."

"I am. Fabric choices get me hot under the collar."

He laughed. "Excellent. This is my new strategy with women. Come back to my place and look at my flannel."

"That would..." She looked him over and tried not to let her mind go to very bad places. Like what it might be like to look beneath his flannel. "Work. That would probably work."

One Night Charmer was so not what I was expecting. It wasn't quite as cheeky or sweet as I thought it would be and was still a good read but whew...these two had to fight for their happily ever after and it was messy and difficult as they pissed each other right off and tried to resist a damn pesky attraction and a lot of misplaced resentment towards each other. Add in a life altering decision and holy cow. Yeah. They had their work cut out for themselves.

3 stars--Dirtiest Secret (S.I.N., #1) by J. Kenner

There's no denying your love life is complicated when the man you're in love with is...your brother.

Technically.

Yes. Things are complicated for Dallas and Jane. Not only that pesky little hitch but they've a complicated past as well that's left them both pretty dysfunctional.

Dirtiest Secret wasn't all that dirty but it was curious and a spot twisty. The writing was easy and while not all that layered or rich it kept me reading and fairly entertained. There were good bits and some oh-dear-that-was-unfortunate bits, as well, as Jane sets out to close the distance that's grown between her and Dallas once and for all.

So. The good bits!

So Caught Up In Raine one was going pretty well...until it wasn't. The quick of it is that Jillian is an author and one day after a visit with her aunt she runs into a young man who's not only perfect for her upcoming book cover but is the spitting image of the first love she lost in an accident years earlier. And on a whim she asks him to be her cover model. There's an instant attraction despite the many years separating them and one thing leads to another and, well, naughty things commence!

4 stars-- The Debutante Is Mine (Season's Original #1) by Vivienne Lorret

A light, sweet treat. The Debutante Is Mine was just an easy read with endearing characters, a race against the clock and plenty of heart as Lilah sets out to turn herself from wallflower to Season's Original...the debutante everyone wants to be.

Okay so the quick of it is that Lilah's father was an asshole and wrote into his will that she'd have to marry her vile cousin if she didn't land herself a titled gentleman within 3 Seasons. And the clock is ticking! Problem is...men just don't see her or even remember her name. A devil of a problem for sure. Even worse...the one man that does remember her name pushes her buttons something fierce, isn't marriage material and doesn't even like the gentry. Yeah. It's going to be quite the month. lol

Today's post is about the Lust for Italian! I love me some Italian food. And Italy. And a few Italian people. lol I grew up with an Italian family as neighbors. They've been linked with our family since like the 60s and most holidays we'd split time between each other's houses. So Italian food has always been huge with me even though I'm a Mexican/German mix. I so relate more to Italian pretty much everything. Heh

4.5 stars-- Rocky Mountain Wedding by Sara Richardson

Whew, goodness! The amount of emotion Richardson packed into Rocky Mountain Wedding left me absolutely floored. So. Ruby and Sawyer are four days away from the "big day". In just four days they'll be married and soon after finalizing the adoption of their foster daughter. But life is about to put them through the ringer and test the bonds of their relationship--a wedding dress that just won't fit, surprise new additions, meeting the in-laws and maybe throwing up on em, fears and worries and a good dose of panic too. It's a whirlwind of a few days for sure.

Okay so this one just made me snort. The heroine came to the bunkhouse to deliver something to one of the cowboys from her grandfather and ended up staying the night before continuing her trip. So it's her vs a whole house of cowboys that aren't used to having women around and smooth? It has abandoned them. lol Nick had gotten a bug in his computer from visiting some porn sites and one of the guys told him he needed to just get a hooker instead of watching porn and it went from there...
