Buy The Book-- New Releases, Sales, Freebies

Holy flipping hell. The number of releases today is insane. In. Sane.
You need them all. You really do. lol
I've read a handful of them so far-- Bastard Billionaire, If the Duke Demands, Wait for It, Hometown Cowboy and lurved them all.

The Monthly Herd-- February-- A damn fast month!

And another month down! Things went well with the herd this month. House projects got knocked out, had my first shift at the USO this year, did some designing, did some planning, got rid of things, snuggled the herd, read a lot of books. Honestly can't complain. It was really nice to have just an easy month for once. The past year...that's been a rarity. So I enjoyed the heck out of it.

Oh oh! I did have things happen. lol I went to a book signing! Ilona Andres (both of them) and Eloisa James came to Cary.

Blog Ahead Mini #1-- My Goals & Progress!

Woohoo! Blog Ahead is almost here. This challenge is all about giving yourself a buffer and blogging ahead. For the mini challenge the goal is to increase your number of scheduled posts by 15 by the end of the challenge.

So if you start with 15 posts scheduled on March 1st you need to have 30 posts scheduled on March 15th.

4 stars-- Wait For It (Everything I Left Unsaid #4) by Molly O'Keefe

Wait for It was dark, edgy and downright compelling.

Okay so the quick and dirty. Tiffany was married to Blake's brother who was an abusive asshole. And now she's in a panicked escape from said asshole and Blake is determined to help her out. Not only to clean up his brothers mess-- yet again-- but to fix something he did to her in the past, too.

Quote-tastic/Review-- If the Duke Demands (Capturing the Carlisles #1) by Anna Harrington

I was seriously giddy to see a new series from Anna Harrington. I loved the original series that this one spun off from. The heroes are so yummy and the heroines unique and fiery. Awesome combo in a historical. So this go-round. Miranda has a thing for a Carlisle brother and decides it's time to snag her man. Only problem? She kinda sneaks into the wrong brothers bedroom.

Which made for some entertaining moments when they later team up to each find their own HEAs. So this one he's giving her some tips...

Tasty Delights-- Gnocchi w/ Roasted Butternut Squash, Brussels Sprouts & Browned Butter Sauce

Seriously doesn't that sound fancy as all fuck? lol

This is one of the HelloFresh boxes and, man, they do have a thing for brussels sprouts. A lot of the winter recipes had them. Works for me, though, since I like them and have been having fun trying them in different ways.

This time with gnocchi and butternut squash with a maple syrup/sage browned butter sauce. And oh it was delicious!

This one was super simple...

Bookish Things That Need To Die A Fiery Fucking Death

A couple weeks back I shared the Bookish things I'd LOVE to see more of in 2017.

Now?
The bookish things I wish would DIE A FIERY DEATH!
Die. A. Fiery. Death.
And, yes, I'm gonna rant, yall. Sorry. (but not really lol)

Audio Files-- Love in a Nutshell & The Husband List by Janet Evanovich & Dorien Kelly

I've been on a Janet Evanovich binge- listen lately and having a lot of fun with them. This time it was two books featuring heroes that were brewers--one present day and one historical.

Quote-tastic/Review-- Midtown Masters (Sins in the City #3) by Cara McKenna

Cara McKenna. Yall. If you haven't read her yet she's amazing. Seriously erotic and unconventional. Regular heroes and heroines who have some kink and like to get filthy. It's just so much damn fun. This time around a very creative menage.

This first quote is the heroine and her best friend and fuck buddy who's a little emotionally stunted...

3 stars-- Beauty and the Wiener (A Rescue Dog Romance #2) by Casey Griffin

Beauty and the Wiener was pretty cute. A dog groomer who's found herself accused of dognapping show dogs weeks before a big competition. And the bartender who many think might be her accomplice. A little mystery as they try to find the pups, a little romance as they get closer. A whole lot of cute pups. Pretty cute, indeed.

4 stars-- Kaleb (Alluring Indulgence #1) by Nicole Edwards

Well hello there! Now that was a sexy read! I read this one back in 2014 and it's been sitting in my blog files all this time. *flails* Figured it was about time to post it, yeah? Kaleb was a damn fun read as best friends Zoey and Kaleb--who have totally and secretly pined for each other for most their lives but stayed strictly in the friend's zone-- find themselves maybe not quite in that friend zone anymore. *squee*

4.5 stars-- Healing a Heart (Cattle Creek #2) by Amy Lillard

Wow. Just. Wow. I expected to like Healing the Heart. But I didn't expect it to have such an emotional impact on me as a reader.

So real quick. Jake and Bryn? Well. They had a one night stand. And chickie got her self well and truly knocked up. And she's finally hunted down her future baby daddy to tell him what's going on and, erm, it does not go well.

Quote-tastic/Review-- Tangled in Texas (Texas Rodeo #2) by Kari Lynn Dell

Look at this amazing cover! It's so dang lick-able. This is my second from Dell and yall she's quick becoming my favorite for emotionally charged and sexy cowboy romances. A few fun quotes for today...

So this first one. I just love the heroine's response. I mean, seriously, I was right there with her. lol

Tasty Delights-- One Pot Tortellini Bake

Noms were had! One-Pot Tortellini Bake. This one came in my last HelloFresh box. It was simple and so yummy. Perfect for winter when you want something warm and comforting.

I wouldn't have thought to add kale into it but it was a nice addition and felt a spot healthier than a normal pasta bake.

5 stars-- Exclusively Yours (Kowalski Family #1) by Shannon Stacey #PickOfTheLitter

So a (long) spell back I won a copy of Exclusively Yours from a giveaway Jaci Burton was holding and ohmygod I absolutely loved it! Seriously LOVED it! Exclusively Yours was like slipping into my favorite pair of pjs--cozy and comforting. I easily fell into Stacey's writing and enjoyed every second of watching Keri and Joe get to know each other while surrounded by his wacky crazy family--who managed to be endearing as hell and seriously loved to give each other grief over pretty much everything.

Quote-tastic/Review-- Between the Devil and the Duke (Season for Scandal #3) by Kelly Bowen

So a couple quotes today. I've been loving Kelly Bowen's historicals lately. She has such amazing characters and captivating romances. This one. Yeah, the heroine. She was just phenomenal. So three quotes. The first made me laugh. The hero is a bit of a mystery to her and there are a LOT of rumors floating around about him. He owns a gaming hell, by the way.

(kinda) Tasty Delight-- Loaded Lentil Salad

Another HelloFresh meal. And, erm, it wasn't terrible! lol No, actually it wasn't bad at all but if I make it again I'll definitely do some changes.

I was like midway through baking and had to tend the roasting sweet potatoes. I open the oven and was like WHOA! dinner smells like...dog shampoo. Ha!

Thankfully it didn't TASTE like dog shampoo. But seriously.

4 stars-- Samson's Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires #1) by Tina Folsom

"From romance to humor and a touch of suspense Folsom put together a delightful and entertaining read that had me chuckling and fanning myself as these two fell in love." ~herding cats & burning soup

Samson's Lovely Mortal turned out to be a delightful surprise! It also has one of my all time favorite opening lines..."Let me suck your cock." Bwaha. Yes, Samson and Delilah entertained me from the start with a case of mistaken identity and Samson thinking the lovely Delilah was, well, a hooker sent by his friends to help him with a, erm, hydraulics issue he was having with his manly bits. And the fun continued from there as they discover her life is at risk and Samson steps in to keep her safe.
