Tempting the Cowboy totally sucked me in. Seriously, dinner could have been burning away and I wouldn't have been able to put it down. A spider could have scurried...no. no. Okay, that would have me putting the book down for a momentary girly *screaming flail* but as soon as the crisis had passed I'd have picked the book right back up. lol It was sweet and heartwrenching and there were cowboys. It had me chuckling and sighing and did I mention... cowboys? Because, cowboys, people, cowboys! Gah!

Guest Post w/ Tracy Solheim-- Sports Romances: Guaranteed to Score!

Bridal gown designer, Julianne Marchione knows better than to lose her head at a client’s wedding.  But much to her embarrassment, a mix of migraine medication and a smoking hot football player lead to a steamy one night stand resulting in a surprise pregnancy. Julianne has every intention of leaving her NFL hookup far in the past until her son, Owen, is born with a life-threatening blood disorder that requires a transfusion—and Julianne is not a match.

Will “William the Conqueror” Connelly grew up tough shouldering the stigma of being a bastard child born on the wrong side of the tracks.  He refuses to let any child face the same discrimination. When he finds out about Owen, he’s furious that Julianne kept his son a secret. But when he sees her again at the hospital, he realizes that his feelings for her go far beyond anger.

Will insists that Owen recuperate at his home in North Carolina, and he’s adamant that Julianne become his wife—even if it’s only a temporary marriage in name only. But will their simmering attraction ever lead to a real connection?  Or are they just playing foolish games?

Sports romances are sexy. For starters, they feature athletes with ripped bodies, nimble fingers, and lots of stamina. These guys are the ultimate Alpha hero because jocks live their lives playing a game. Not only that, but they get paid well to do it. Most of them are extremely self-confident and driven to win at all costs. In a word, they’re egocentric. Oh yeah, successful, athletic men are very sexy.

4 stars! No Good Duke Goes Unpunished (Rule of Scoundrels #3) by Sarah MacLean

He is the Killer Duke, accused of murdering Mara Lowe on the eve of her wedding. With no memory of that fateful night, Temple has reigned over the darkest of London’s corners for twelve years, wealthy and powerful, but beyond redemption. Until one night, Mara resurfaces, offering the one thing he’s dreamed of . . . absolution.

Mara planned never to return to the world from which she’d run, but when her brother falls deep into debt at Temple’s exclusive casino, she has no choice but to offer Temple a trade that ends in her returning to society and proving to the world what only she knows . . . that he is no killer.

It’s a fine trade, until Temple realizes that the lady—and her past—are more than they seem. It will take every bit of his strength to resist the pull of this mysterious, maddening woman who seems willing to risk everything for honor . . . and to keep from putting himself on the line for love.

Spotlight & Interview w/ VL Moon & JT Cheyanne-- Love, Life & Circumstance

Morning chickadees! We've got the authors of Love Life & Circumstance joining us today. VL and JT are going to interview each other. So check it out and leave em some love! ~Anna
Born the son of a preacher man, Elijah Deacon always conformed to his father’s strict religious teachings. He worked hard, devoting his time and energy to the family owned construction firm, leaving little time to focus on the deplorable state of his private life. Small town America was no place to be when all a man craved was the touch of another man. Elijah hid his sexuality and tried in vain to convince himself he could be happy with a woman. Urged on by the dream of having the family he craved, Elijah couldn’t know a drunken one night stand would see him pay the ultimate price.

Leaving the bright lights of Atlanta and placing his own life on hold, paralegal, Seth Jacobs, moved to Alabama hopeful that with a baby on the way, his twin sister Bethany would settle down. His older sister by five minutes, she gave him the confidence he needed while growing to come out and be proud of who he was. It was his turn to return the support. On arrival in Headland, Seth endeavored to make her see the dangers her behavior presented to her and her unborn child. But, to no avail.

When destiny deals a cruel blow, and the life of a newborn baby hangs by a thread, Seth and Elijah are flung together to deal with the tragic circumstances. The grief threatens to consume them, while joy and fear work to unite them. Jealousy, love, lies and bitter truths rise to the surface and threaten to tear them apart. Can the powers of love and life bring them together and heal the loneliness that death leaves behind? Or will circumstance prevail and fuel the embers of love that draw them together?

So a little different this week :) One of my local authors had a birthday this weekend so we're kinda celebrating her today with one of my favorite quotes from her current series. They're historical western romances and just so blasted good! The heroes and heroines always have that fiery butt heads all the time thing going on and I just love that. The heroines are usually pretty unique too like the the heroine in Caleb being a blacksmith :) Anyways. Happy birthday to Miss Emma! Oh and she writes as Beth Williamson too.

My Immortal Highlander by Lynsay Sands and Hannah Howell

Ahhh highlanders. Damn but I love those sexy alpha males. This was my first time reading both Sands and Howell and even with a bit of trouble with one of the novellas it was a fun read.

For they roam the Highlands at night, driven by a savage hunger that can never be sated. Their only hope lies in marriage to Outsiders, mortal women whose pure blood will weaken the hold of their eternal curse.

Kenna Brodie and Sarra DeCourcey know what it is to stand apart. They've heard the terrible, whispered warnings, but nothing could prepare them for the handsome brothers whose fierce, unyielding desires are beyond any legend...

What Bothan and Calum promise is a life unlike any Kenna and Sarra have ever known. Now, Kenna and Sarra must choose whether to betray their dark lords or stand and fight for a passion that will never die...
