Spotlight: Cheers by Vallory Vance + giveaway

We've got a quick little spotlight/giveaway for yall today. It's a short story but I think it sounds kinda interesting. It's also an interracial romance which isn't something I've seen all that often during my reading. I'm liking that the couple on the cover actually looks like it too! Sounds like it could be a sexy little read!

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Sensual Romance, Interracial Romance
Info: Self- Published, ebook, 7500 words

As a successful Sales and Catering Manager for the posh Hayden Court Hotel located in New Orleans’ famed French Quarter, Darcey St. Claire is absolutely thrilled to be working on New Year’s Eve.  The commission and bonus, she’ll receive from the two day Guidry Construction event will not only fund her spring trip to New York City, but buy a cute pair of shoes for the plane ride!

Her enthusiasm quickly turns to barely disguised irritation when Vincent Guidry arrives hours early for his scheduled check-in demanding access to his suite.  After he slashes the budget for the event, not even the crystal blue eyes of the former quarterback can quell the anger surging in her chest. That is until he walks into the Chat Noir where she is trying to regroup after her irksome day.

In the private enclave known as the Cristal Room, Vincent willingly lights up Darcey’s New Year’s Eve and just may have lost his heart in the process.

A sexy, short story introducing the characters of the upcoming Rose Gold Collection.

    1. I honestly don't pay all that much attention to self published vs traditional published. If it catches my eye I read it. lol but I am really glad so many authors are getting a change to put their books out there now. It's great!

  5. I think this sounds like a fun little read :) Lots of sparks, ya know? I've been seeing more and more interracial books pop up, and I think its great. I've only read one, I think, but that's because my TBR for reviews is redonkulous. But I've read a lot of interspecies (different weres, demons, vamps) Does that count?? LOL. Have a great day!

    1. LOL yup! I love the mixed species ones. I've read a few interracial but I think all in shifter series. Shelly Laurenston is one that has done them. It does sound like sparks are gonna fly in this one!

    1. Same here. I haven't come across too many though. Usually it's in a paranormal shifter series for some reason when I find them.

  7. It's a good blurb. I'm not sure if it would grab me and make me buy the book though. I'm more of a visual person, so the covers typically grab me first then the blurb seals the deal. I would have to say it depends on what I was looking for on that day.

And, no, interracial couples don't bother me.

    1. Same here Evanlea. I always am drawn in by the cover first then maybe I'll read the blurb. I usually just skip that part all together. Have had some interesting results that way though!
