A: I've tried reading more than one at a time but nope. Not for me. Once I get into a story I can't put it down long enough to pick up another book and get involved with that one. I know some people who can read 4 or 5 at a time. Would drive me nuts! I do read really fast though and can get through 4-6 books per week so that probably has a bit to do with only reading one at a time too.
Tonight I'm reading Deliver Me From Darkness by Tes Hilaire and loving it so far.
So what about yall? One at a time or do you have a whole herd of books going at the same time?
Majumbled is a word!! haha I'm with you, one at a time all the way. You are a fast reader holy schneikies! Love the name of your blog BTW.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! Old follower :)
It's definitely one I'm gonna be using from now on :) I love it!
DeleteBook monogamy is not for me!
ReplyDeleteOld follower, come over and say "hi"
Book monogamy. Love that too. I think that's the first I've herd that and it's so me :)
DeleteWow I'm impressed! 4-6 a week! I need to work on my speed reading because it takes me a good two days at least to finish one book =) And thats with me sticking to one at a time too!

Yep I'm a terribly fast reader. Some it takes me a little longer but with so many fantastic books out there I'm glad I can read so many :)
DeleteI only read 1 or 2 at a time since I don't want to get too distracted. I'm now following you via GFC and would love for you to visit me whenever you get a chance... http://wowfromthescarfprincess.blogspot.com/2012/03/feature-follow-friday_29.html
ReplyDeleteI get too distracted with more than one. On occasion I can do two but they have to be really different from each other.
DeleteI'm a fast reader, too. I'd probably read even faster if I wouldn't review the books haha. But where's the fun in that?
ReplyDeleteNew follower. Happy Friday!

Oooo I love your background! Watercolourey!
ReplyDeleteNew follower! :-)
I am a shameless book adultress- I will cheat on books constantly. I can't help it!
My FF: http://pocketfulofbooksblogger.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/follow-friday_30.html
I used to be incapable of reading more than one book at once... now I've switched to finding it hard to concentrate on only one book at once! Plus, that's a lot of books per week! Respect!
ReplyDeleteNew follower. My FF.
I'm pretty sure I couldn't cope with 4-5 books at a time, either! As you've said, 2 is often too much for me, without anything else!
ReplyDeleteTara @ Hey, Tara
Also, I should just say, I really do love the name of your blog!
DeleteI always read one at a time so that I can give my full attention to it!

Too much confusion! Glad there are some others who stick with just one :)
DeleteHappy Friday - Yes, I totally understand I am so not one of those people who can read 3-5 books at a time. Too confusing. LOL =D
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy reading your books this week.

We seem to be few and far between Beckie. I'm amazed how many people read so many books at a time! I'm very much enjoying my reading so far this weekend. Hope you are too!

Happy Friday ladies!
DeleteI am currently dealing with this. I just got a ton of new books for my kindle, including the naughty "shades of grey" series... but I'm still reading Stephen Kings 11/22/63. AND I also got a Dean Koontz that my friend says it's so scary it belongs in the freezer (Friends reference) so I want to read that too. What to do!!!! New follower!
ReplyDeleteBwahaa. Love that episode of Friends. If I ever read King or Koontz I'm sure that's where my book would end up too! I've had the shades of grey books on my Nook for a while now. Since before they blew up. Really need to get to reading those! Thanks for coming by Susan!
DeleteI read several books at once. I also have several projects going on at once. Right now I'm reading The Stand (Stephen King), Save the Cat, and The Films of Alfred Hitchcock.
ReplyDeleteI can do several projects at once. Usually have a few going but not with books. Oooh. Can't read King. I'm such a wuss ;)
DeleteI'm bad at reading one book at a time. I actually flip flop between two books reading 50-100 pages at a time. Then, I stay with one until the end and write my review.

Thanks for coming by Shelley! That would drive me nuts! I'm just getting really into a book by the 50-100 page mark. Can't imagine putting it down just then!
DeleteNew follower via GFC
ReplyDeleteI read 1 book at a time only, thats the most I can do!
