Random Reads: July! The Heart of Christmas

I'm oh so late this month. Was out of town at the Lori Foster Get Together and have been playing catch up with all things blog since I got home. Was a great time so completely fine with that :) Now on to my Random Reads for June!

If you haven't seen Random Reads before it's really simple. Just pick a book randomly from your TBR list at the start of the month and give it a read. I use my Goodreads list and Random.org to do my picking.

This month I got an anthology...The Heart of Christmas. Not even sure how I ended up with this one but it's been here since April 1st, 2012. Just love the cover. I haven't read any of the authors included: Mary Balogh, Nicola Cornick and Courtney Milan. Excited to get to check out some new writers :) Plus it's all Christmasy and that just seems a little perfect at the start of a hot NC summer.

A Handful of Gold by Mary Balogh
Not only is Julian Dare dashing and wealthy, but he's the heir to an earldom. So how do you get a man who has everything? Innocent and comely Verity Ewing plans on giving Julian the most precious gift of all - her heart.

The Season for Suitors by Nicola Cornick
After some close encounters with rakes in which she was nearly compromised into marriage, heiress Clara Davenport realises she needs some expert advice. And who better for the job than Sebastian Fleet, the most notorious rake in town?

This Wicked Gift by Courtney Milan
Lavinia Spencer has been saving her hard-earned pennies to provide for her family. Just before Christmas, her brother is swindled, leaving them owing more than they can ever replay. Until a mysterious benefactor offers to settle the debt in exchange for Lavinia's innocence.

  1. Christmas in June, LOL, that is random. I love this meme and hope to join in every month and make some sort of dent in my tbr pile.

    1. I've been enjoying the meme. Nice to pick up books that might never have been read.

Yep. I'm actually going to do a whole Christmas in July theme and try to read mainly Christmas/winter books in July. Should be fun :)
