[memes] Pretty New Reads & My Upcoming Plans!

I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

Yall! This week has been insane. Scary, terrifying, make a girl cry kind of insane. Cleo had a major surgery on Tuesday so I was a wreck. I'll be doing a whole post on her explaining that this week. But she came home Friday afternoon and is holding on. Still a lot of healing to do but she's alive and on the mend. (eta Tuesday night and she's spending it at the e-vet, feeling a little poorly and getting stronger meds and oxygen and a consult tomorrow with surgical to see what they think)

So I haven't visited blogs. I rescheduled all posts (they were moved to July/August) that had been set to go live this week. It's the longest there hasn't been a new post on the blog since I began in 2012. Which kind of freaked me out but I basically needed a blogger girl break to focus on my girl and so less emails and notifications were coming through.  I'll be working on getting around and catching up again this weekend.

And a blog thing! We're doing another mini Blog Ahead challenge. Would love for yall to join in. It starts June 22nd. Something I desperately need after all the crazy. Gotta get some of these drafted reviews finished!

• Rainy Day Friends by Jill Shalvis-- okay, I'm liking these but something is missing
• Secretly Smitten anthology-- these are just nice easy reads about a town that's saving itself
• Merry Ex-Mas by Sheila Roberts -- depressing but kept me reading
• Cowboy SEAL Christmas by Nicole Helm-- tugged at the heart <3

 

 

I got a few books for review and have read 2 of them so far. Yay me!

Rainy Day Friends and Scandal Above Stairs I actually got a couple weeks back but just hadn't taken pictures. Cowboy SEAL Christmas I snagged this week on NG. I have no regrets. It was such a good series.

A friend went to RT and grabbed a couple books for me from authors I love since I couldn't be there. She threw in some fun swag on top of it, too!

Simple this week since life was crazy and time limited.

Top Ten: Books on my Summer TBR Pile!

(now through Sept, 22nd)

I just have a few on my list. I've been doing more random older reading lately but these are some upcoming releases I've either already accepted for review or am considering.

I've already got Magic Triumphs (coming), Scandal Above Stairs and Smoke & Iron on my review commitment pile. Love all of these authors!

   

All-American Cowboy is one I'm considering accepting. I LOVE this cover. Cowboys! and it's a new to me author and I enjoy checking them out. I just haven't committed yet. 

 I plan on requesting Good Time Cowboy and Hard Riding Cowboy from Yates because I love these series! And...cowboys. I'm assuming Hard Riding Cowboy is included in Good Time Cowboy (we shall see)

 

Already accepted and read! Three on my summer reading list are already completed. I enjoyed Untamed Cowboy, Hot Winter Nights and Cowboy SEAL Christmas quite a bit!

A: New books! I'm not really into collectors edition and with the herd they're too likely to destroy something precious like that. But new books? I'd be all over it and snag any remaining copies I need from favorite series :)
