18 & Over Book Blogger Follow

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by Crystal from Reading Between the Wines. This is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make some new friends!

Question of the Week:
What are you currently reading? Do you love it? Is it a new-to-you author or an old favorite? Tell us all about it!

Thought I'd join in on this one this week :)

I just finished a YA this morning (If I Die by Rachel Vincent) and really did not enjoy it so I moved on to an all time favorite of mine...JD Robb's In Death series.

It's the 33rd book in the series and fantastic as usual. I'm always amazed by her books and that so far into the series it's still so well written and hasn't gotten boring. If you haven't heard of it the In Death series is a futuristic murder cop mystery series set in New York in the 2050s-2060s. It's focused around a married couple. Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her husband Roarke who is a business man and richer than God. He's also a fan of skirting the law and playing in the gray areas. Eve kicks ass and Roarke is my all time favorite non-PNR hero. Tall, dark, Irish, fiercely protective and in control. Roarke and Eve are wonderful together. One of my favorite couples from any genre. Robb has some of the best secondary characters I've ever read. They carry over the whole series too and are just fantastic.

So far in New York to Dallas....a kidnapper/murderer that Eve Dallas captured 12 years earlier has escaped prison and started taunting her. I'm really not all that far into the book yet so she's just now started the investigation to track him down but I'm loving it. Some of my favorite characters to spend time with.

I'm a much happier little reader than I was this morning now that I've picked this one up :)

Yall reading anything good today?!

  1. I've never heard of this series! I'm just barely starting to read Non-PNR books, so I don't really know much about them. Lol, Great pick though it seems like an interesting read :D

    1. It's a pretty intimidating series to jump into since there are so many books/anthologies. But they're all fantastic so you don't hardly realize how many there are. It's great :)
