Q: Summer Break is upon us! What would be the perfect vacation spot for you to catch up on your reading & relax?
A: I'm so not a summer girl. I grew up in Florida and moved to NC. It's practically summer year round so my dream spot would be spending it somewhere cold. With snow and storms. Snuggled up on a lush couch with warm blankets. Hot chocolate, fuzzy socks. Mmmm. Yeah, that would be perfect for catching up on reading a bit :)
What about yall?!
I would totally have to agree with you on this one. I didn't think about it when I was posting up my answer but I'm not a summer girl either, I actually look towards the summer with dread. My story is kind of similar to yours, I was born in Arizona and now live Nebraska, so I definitely look forward to experiencing more Winters. LOL. Love your answer.

Oh it's SO hot in Arizona! I drove through there one summer and thought I'd melt! Winter is just so much better :)
DeleteI'm not much for warm weather either. Great choice! Old follower! My Follow
ReplyDeleteYay another colder weather person. I'm surrounded by people in real life that LOVE the heat and looks like a lot of people on here too!
DeleteHopping through. They have skiing year round at Mt. Hood in Oregon. You could go there.

Good. To. Know :) That would so work for me.
DeleteSounds perfect! <3 + a pretty fireplace. lol.

Oh. A fireplace! Can't believe I forgot that. Yes, I want that too :)
DeleteI'll trade with you. I'd take a year of summer in exchange for some freezing cold. You can even borrow my shovel. You'll need it. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd be good with that :) Would love a good winter!
DeleteI love winter and hate the heat of summer! I'm in Ohio, though, so we actually get all the seasons. There's nothing quite like snuggling under the blankets in front of a fire, hot drink in hand, with time to just relax and read. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, I'm following you back :-)
Happy Friday!
Lori
Oh so lucky you get a bit of it all. Our winters here are so hit or miss.
DeleteThanks for stopping by! It's so funny - as much as you're not a heat girl, I'm not a cold girl, and I live in flipping Pittsburgh, so we definitely get our share of cold weather and snow, lol!

Oh I'll trade! Not a fan of melting and we've already had some hot days this year.
DeleteThanks for stopping by - gotta be honest, coming from Canada, I get sick of snow usually around the 2nd time I have to shovel the car out to get to work. Give me warm and dry any day. LOL

So funny how we all would love the opposite of what we get :) We had all of 3 hours of snow this winter. Literally. It snowed and was gone 3 hours later. Sigh. ;)
DeleteI absolutely, hate, hate, hate and dislike the winter with every piece of my body, haha. I can't handle cold. Your whole body get stiff, my hands and feeth hurt like hell, nope, that's not my weather :p But I can understand the hot chocolate ^^

Bwhaha. But summer. Sweaty, sun burns, humidity, frizzy hair because of that humidity, bugs. Nope I want some winter :)
DeleteYeah that hot chocolate is a great one. Cant resist the stuff.
I'm a summer person.
ReplyDeleteThere seem to be a lot of yall :)
DeleteI live in Germany and we have some horribly cold winters (though winter, these days, starts in what feels like March. Global warming, everyone! :D) but I always loved sitting inside with hot chocolate, watching a good movie or reading a book. :)
ReplyDeletePatricia // My Hop
Ours are pretty mild here in North Carolina. Well most years. I love when we get a good one. Our summer started about March. Whew. Have already had a few rough days.
DeleteThe only reason I look forward to summer is because school is out. I don't like the heat and humidity. I stay inside as much as possible. We will spend a week at the beach in July & I'm not really a fan of that either. If it wasn't for my son loving it so much we would skip the beach & go somewhere cooler. I don't like the ocean or the sand. But I do enjoy the beach at night. I love all the little shops & attractions. And my favorite thing to do is sit on our oceanfront balcony & read. The ocean breeze, the sounds of the waves, and the salty smell makes the perfect reading place.
