3.5 stars-- Secretly Smitten (Smitten #2) Anthology

Secretly Smitten was full of romance as a trio of sisters and their mother find love while trying to solve a decades old mystery involving their grandmother and her beau who was killed in the war--but might have survived somehow.

Love Between the Lines by Colleen Coble
Super cute romance. The hero and heroine are both smitten but don't think the other would ever be interested. They were adorable in their clumsy clueless ways.
Make Me A Match by Kristin Billerbeck
The romantic sister. This was a fun one as two opposites end up together. The heroine is starting a match maker business and cooks for the lonely elderly in town everyday. The town's new manager is kinda shutting her business down over violations. Sparks of all kinds. It was nice.
Knit One, Love Two by Diann Hunt
A nice 'older' romance as the girl's mother finds love of her own with a sexy older guy in town helping his mom. It was cute. I loved the hero. He's kind and generous. The heroine gave me a few moments-- she's got some insecurities and trust issues-- but she was nice, too, as she took a business risk and risked her heart, too.
Love Blooms by Denise Hunter
I loved the hero. A homeless wander on a mission. The heroine a gardener who hires him on a whim. I liked them. I liked their romance. Wanted to shake her stubborn scared self a couple times. And maybe lick him. lol
Overall, Secretly Smitten was a nice anthology. I liked seeing the mystery unravel as the girls tried to figure out what happened to their grandmom's long lost love. The stories fit well together. The family vibe was mostly nice though not perfect. There were a few editing blips and I thought each story could use 5 or so more pages but overall I flew through this one and had a lovely time.

There’s a secret in Grandma Rose’s attic—a forgotten set of dog tags belonging to her first love. But David Hutchins was killed in action and never returned to Smitten. How did the dog tags end up in the attic?

The mystery intrigues Rose’s three granddaughters—Tess, Clare, and Zoe—and they decide to investigate, though their mother, Anna, warns against meddling. But as the seasons turn and the mystery unravels, the three young women and their mother encounter some intriguing mystery men of their own. Has a sixty-year-old puzzle sparked something new for this close-knit family of women?

Join popular romance novelists—and real-life BFFs—Colleen Coble, Kristin Billerbeck, Diann Hunt, and Denise Hunter for four delightful intertwined tales of mystery and sweet intrigue.
