4 stars-- Saving the Sheriff (Three River Ranch #3.5) by Roxanne Snopek

Oh my gosh. So cute. Like, seriously, so flipping cute! Saving the Sheriff... total warm Christmas fuzzies. Yall!
The Gist: Sometimes a girl has to kidnap a herd of reindeer while dressed as an elf. And sometimes the Universe has a merry laugh and she winds up in a snowbank and being rescued by the town's sheriff who's name is Rudolph. Yeah.
Red and Frankie. They were great. They've both found themselves lonely and family-less during the holidays. And so in need of each other it was ridiculous. I loved them as a couple. He needed her light sunshiney personality to help bring him out of his grumpy darkness after a divorce and she needed someone who just cared for and about her without stipulations. Someone solid by her side. I loved watching them both open up and find a little healing and comfort with each other. They just made me smile as they faced off early on and wore each other down. They just had some fun interactions.
Bliss's words were just now sinking in. When love shows up at your door? New relationship? BABIES?

Frankie whirled around, her hands in her hair."Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God. I've got to go. Right now. I'm sorry, Red. I should never have... we shouldn't have... well. Thank you for driving with me. Hopefully you can--"

"You look good in the morning." Red half-sat up against the couch, his arms crossed behind his head, a lazy grin on his face. "You could dial back the crazy a touch, though."
And the set up. I'm a total sucker for a "snowed in" romance and, gah, yes, it worked for me. Trapped by a blizzard on a mustang sanctuary he's baby sitting for the holidays and nothing but time, each other and a herd of animals to care for. I loved them working together, talking, having a little fun which they both sorely needed.

All in all, Saving the Sheriff was full of wintry Christmas magic. Sweet, charming and a romance that'll leave a girl smiling. Nicely done!
Every year, free-spirited Frankie Sylva banishes her holiday loneliness with good deeds. This time, she’s rescuing a truckload of neglected reindeer—until a blizzard sidetracks her scheme, and now she’s stuck…literally.

Local sheriff Red LeClair is shocked to find a very cute, half-frozen woman trespassing on Three River Ranch in a ditched rig, with a suspiciously empty trailer. Is she a horse thief? Is she on the run? Is she out of her mind? He has no choice but to take her back to the ranch and keep an eye on her.

But when the power goes out, Red and Frankie are forced to depend on each other in a way that both have avoided for years. The sheriff’s quiet holiday is suddenly festive: a crackling fire, candles, carols, and an irresistible stranger…who might be a felon.
