Peppermint Patty Brownies!
Yep the candy obsession continues with some York Peppermint Patties...
Yeah, I'm totally channeling Sandra Lee the Food Network chick that does the semi-homemade cooking. Things have been SO busy but I still want my goodies and a little baking time so I'm not feeling one bit guilty :)
Mix up your brownie batter and pour half into a greased or lined baking pan.
Add a layer of peppermint patties. Leaving a little more room on the edges than I did. I should have stuck with 3 across instead of 4. The patties spilled out when baked and made a mess of the edges.
Add remaining batter so that all patties are completely covered.
Bake according to brownie package instructions.
Allow these suckers to cool completely before you try them.
Yeah, they smell really freaking good but DO NOT attempt a nibble until they're cool. Those patties are really flipping hot when they're all melty. Trust me on this one ;)
Anyone made these before? Have a favorite brownie?
Have any suggestions for next week's Tasty Tuesday? This chickie's starting to run out of ideas!
WOW! I have to try these! My sons love peppermint patties!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite brownies are chocolate, peanut butter brownies. They have both chocolate and peanut butter chips in them also. Delicious! Thank you for sharing, Anna!
Ooo hope you love them. And omg chocolate peanut butter sounds really good. I love both. Will have to try and find some peanut butter chips next grocery run :)
DeleteHappy baking!
Curse you, Anna, curse you! All of these yummy recipes lately are tempting me, and when I'm tempted my waistline increases. And it's already past where I want it! LOL. :)
ReplyDeleteI love a good mint chocolate brownie--a good one, mind you. I've tried many, from different bakeries and stores, and very few are any good, in my opinion. Homemade is always great of course. :) My local grocery store's bakery has AMAZING mint chocolate brownies...I bought some just last week, actually, and made a pig of myself on them! lol.
Enjoy!

LOL. They're killing me just sitting down there in the kitchen. I so want another :)
DeleteI've never tried a mint chocolate brownie before. Thankfully our grocery story has a terrible bakery so I'm not too tempted when I go in. If we want yummy baked goods it either homemade or a long trek across town to another store. Blessing in disguise. LOL.
Yum, those look so good. I have some of those Ghiradelli premixes in the cupboard - just need to get the minty-mints! I'm making your peanut butter cup cookie dough in the muffin tins tonight. Keep 'em coming.
ReplyDeleteThose mixes are really handy! I picked this one up on sale for like a buck. So worth it!
DeleteHope the peanut butter cookie cups turn out great!
Anna
My son would love these. Will have to make them. They look so good. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteThese look yummy Anna, I'm a sucker for all things chocolate, so I'll have to try this out someday soon xD LOL
LOL. Oh they're good Neyra! And so darn easy. Hands on time was like 5 minutes. It's absolute torture waiting for them to cool enough to eat they smell so good.
