Interview w/ Rebecca Zanetti!

Opposites don’t attract. They ignite.

The small Montana town near the Kooskia reserve seemed like the perfect place for Juliet Montgomery to hide from her not-so-law-abiding family. But when her peace is shattered by a break-in and threatening phone calls, it’s clear someone back in New York knows where she is. It’s time to plan her getaway, and fast—but first, she needs to tie up a few loose ends. Namely, finding out exactly what the town’s sexy cowboy sheriff is hiding in his holster...

Sheriff Quinn Lodge has enough demons of his own to know when someone’s hiding something. Clearly, he needs to do a thorough investigation to uncover what’s beneath Juliet’s uptight, city-girl exterior—preferably one piece of clothing at a time. But when their chemistry goes from fizzy to full-on explosive, things start getting complicated. How can Juliet stay beneath the covers with Quinn, when doing so means blowing her cover?

Rebecca! Come on in hun. Coffee, tea? I'm working on a batch of eclairs that are almost done so come on into the kitchen and have a seat while I finish up real quick then we can try em out while we chat.
Sounds good!  Thank you so much for having me over for coffee today.  I keep trying to drink tea, and I do like green tea, but usually I’m a coffee drinker.  J
I've got a thing for Blackberry Sage tea myself. Only coffee I go for is ice cream. lol So, Under the Covers. *thud* Holy cow, woman. That cover is HOT! Tell me a little about Juliet and Quinn (*swoon* Quinn!). Is their story as steamy and delicious as their cover?
I think so.  The sheriff is rough and ready with a side of sexy…and the man likes to kiss.  And kiss…Juliet is from the city and is very proper…until Quinn gets a hold of her, that is.
Mmmm love a man that can kiss. And that Juliet is a city-girl and winds up in Montana and surrounded by cowboys. Lucky girl! Were there any surprises along the way with her fish out of water situation?
Great question!  Well, there’s a scene where Quinn tries to teach her how to ride a horse.  Some people just shouldn’t ride horses.  So, Juliet struggles, and Quinn finally pulls her atop his horse for a lesson.  Let’s just say that it’s quite the lesson.
Well it definitely sounds like it could end with something yummy! Alright before I get myself all distracted...Do you remember that show Pop-Up video? I always love that one *whispers must be the Southern woman inside me that loves "gossip"* Could you tell us 4 fun behind the scenes facts about the series?
I DO remember the Pop-Up video!  How fun! Here are my four about the Lodge-Freeze Family...
1)    The oldest brother, Jake Lodge, is afraid of spiders.  That hasn’t come to light yet, but it probably will soon.   *oh I am SO right there with him. I'm loving Jake already!*
2)    The second brother, Quinn Lodge, hid a secret coin when he was young…and he’s been looking for it since.
3)    Colton Freeze is the youngest brother…and he has some hidden talents that come to light in his book (RISING ASSETS).  It’s always the quiet ones who surprise you.  His martial arts background and his head for business come together quite nicely.
4)    The youngest sibling, Dawn Freeze, isn’t going down the path that anybody expects.  She’ll be fun to watch!
Oh man I can't wait for all of their stories to come out! Now, I saw you've had all kinds of jobs over the years and done all sorts of traveling. It sounds like it's been quite the adventure. Do you ever incorporate bits and pieces of your real life and things you've been through or people you've met into your books?
I think that I do incorporate personality types into some of the people in the books.  Often my heroines will react just like one of my sisters would, to be honest.  Of course, it’s fun to make things up, too.
Oh I bet it is! Alright just a couple silly ones before we let you run off to write!

Favorite escape?
The lake – I love to write at the lake.
Cats or dogs?
This is a tough one!  Until last August, I would’ve said dogs, hands down.  But my daughter talked my husband into getting her a kitten for her birthday, and I have had so much fun with little Buddy.  So, I’m going to have to say both. *aw yay for Buddy!*
Favorite Man Candy? And pictures are SO welcome!
The boys from Supernatural, without a doubt.  I’ve attached a couple of pictures I love. *aw man Rebecca. Just as I'm getting to this question and adding pics in a guy sits down next to me in the airport waiting area. I'm thinking I can totally make him blush!*
Paper or electronic planner? And what color?
Planner?  What’s that? J I’m more of a sticky note/write it on the back of a receipt type of planner.
Funniest/weirdest thing you can see from where you're sitting?
LOL!  I don’t even know where to start with this one.  I’m at my desk in my home office.  There’s a dragon peering over the top, a Snoopy cartoon to the left, an antique Remington typewriter to the right, several pictures drawn by my kids on the wall, and so many sticky notes plastered around that I don’t want to count them. *your room sounds awesome!*
I'm completely freaked the heck out by...?
Nutcrackers.  The little smiling wack-jobs scare the heck out of me.
Colored or clear glass plates?
Colored – especially in summer or at Christmas.  The shinier the better.
Same here! Okay, I just love shiny things in general. lol Thanks so much for dropping by Rebecca. It was so nice chatting with ya. Now I think I might just need to take the rest of the day off and spend a little time with Quinn. Okay, okay. Juliet too. ;)
Thank you so much for having me over!  I really enjoyed our chat.  Say hi to Quinn for me.  J
