October Random Reads...murder & marriage in the Roman Empire!

Random Reads is hosted by I'm Loving Books to help all those poor books on our tbr lists that get lost along the way. You're all welcome to join in :) Just grab your TBR list and randomly pick your book.
I used and my list.

I've got a MASSIVE tbr list and have really had a great time doing this meme.
You just never know what's going to pop up and sometimes it's really blasted funny.

This time around gave me book 457...Valeria's Cross
It's a Christian Fiction/Historical Romance. And listed right after...Fire. An erotic short story apparently about group sex around a villiage fire. ::snort:: Ummm. I've got eclectic taste? lol.

Valeria's Cross

Lost love, torn loyalties and a dangerous faith. After her first love is martyred, Valeria, the daughter of Roman Emperor Diocletian, is forced to marry his murderer. Can her marriage survive . . . will she?

Valeria's Cross is the story of a Roman marriage, forged in violence and deceit and built on religious opposition. It is about the many ways that men and women love and fight and grudgingly respect. Yet in the end, God's faithfulness triumphs.

Hmm. It actually sounds pretty interesting. Will see how it goes :)

Hope you'll all join in!

If you don't have a blog feel free to leave your RR pick in the comments.
And bloggers leave your links. I'd love to see what yall picked this month!

  1. This is a brilliant way to pick the next book to read! Usually I end up getting so stressed out by my tbr piles that I go and buy a new book... vicious cycle, this book reading business!

    1. Oh my word Kate I've done just that! LOL. The staff up at our B&N knows me well ;)

The meme has been really great. As soon as I saw it over at I'm Loving Books I knew I had to join in. I've found some really great ones I'd never have picked up.

      Thanks for coming by!

  2. lol! Well, they're both romance? So that's kind of consistent? :P I hope you enjoy your Random Read!

    1. lol. That'll work ;) Really have no clue how either of these ended up on the list. I must have had an interesting day going on to have stumbled on them both.

Hope you enjoy yours too Lianne!
