Must Love Lycans (Broken Heart Vampires #8) by Michele Bardsley
Since the moment Damien showed up-gloriously naked-Kelsey Morningstone has been having a hard time keeping her relationship with the clinic's latest amnesiac patient strictly professional. Even with her empathy abilities Kelsey's not sure she can get past Damien's anger to find the cause of his delusions. After all, falling for a patient is bad enough, but falling for a patient who thinks he's a werewolf is a whole other kind of crazy...

One of the things I love about Michele Bardsley and the Broken Heart series is that each book and the couple it revolves around are truly unique from their plot-line down to their humor and character mannerisms. Must Love Lycans was an interesting addition to the series and one that's very much going to be a game changer in how life in Broken Heart goes on but I can't say it was one of my favorites. The humor this time around just wasn't quite my thing so it was a hard for me to really get into the story. I had a couple laugh out loud moments but Kelsey and her somewhat in your face immature humor just put me off. I did enjoy getting to meet new characters and spending time with old favorites though.
My favorite thing about this one was Damian. I really liked finally getting to find out about him and his brothers (the wolves). Their history and where they came from, etc. Kelsey, like I said, her humor rubbed me the wrong way so I had a hard time getting to know her.By the end she had grown on me though. She's had a hard time with her family and I really felt for her. And I loved seeing the two of them develop and find themselves as individuals and a couple.
Damian enchained my wrist to halt me, and then he swept me into his arms. "If you say boobs one more time, I will drag you into the nearest janitorial closet and fuck you."
Electric thrills raced through me. "Boo--"
He kissed me. Hard. I threw my arms around his neck and enjoyed the hell out of it.
He pulled away, his breath harsh and his eyes glittering. "You're trying to kill me."
"Testing your resolve," I said. "You don't seem the type to issue empty threats. Honestly? I'm kinda disappointed." I opened my mouth and he put his forefinger against my lips.
"Don't say it. I'm already thinking about slamming you against a wall and pushing up that dress."
My heart started to pound. I was instantly wet. And hot for him. Oh, sweet mamma jamma. "Will you rip off my panties?"
"Yes," he said. He eyed me and then sighed. "I'm just giving you incentive, aren't I?"
"Pretty much."
On the mystery front things are spelled out nearly from the start when Kelsey is infected and the rush is on to save her life dragging gods and all of their drama into the mix. All in all it wasn't a bad read just not for me. But maybe the humor will work for you? I'd say it's definitely worth the time if you read the series because there are a lot of changes to the structure of things for the town that you'll want in on. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where Bardsley takes it from here...
