4 stars! Asking for Trouble (Line of Duty #4) by Tessa Bailey

Brent Mason and Hayden Winstead can't stand each other. She plans exclusive parties for her rich family's charities. He's a rough and tumble cop who rigs explosives for a living. Could two people be any less suited for conversation? They think not and prefer to keep it that way.

Unfortunately, their two best friends are deeply, disgustingly in love. Forced together, the mutual attraction simmering beneath the surface of Brent and Hayden's non-relationship grows with every argument until it explodes into a scintillating night of mind-blowing sex. And it wont be the last, as far as Brent's concerned.

Hayden has a secret, though. Her father's company is relying on a merger to save them from financial ruin, and only Hayden's marriage to the CEO's wealthy son can secure the deal. If she's to protect her family, she'll have to forget Brent. And he has no intention of being forgotten.

So, Tessa Bailey is pretty much the queen of dirty talking heroes and damn she did it again with Asking for Trouble. This one was fun, sexy, and all kinds of make-a-girl-go-weak-in-the-knees naughty goodness as enemies Brent and Hayden discover that all that fire between them can lead to some damn good times.

I really enjoyed Brent and Hayden. These two are passionate about hating each other. They bicker, throw barbs, tease and make it their life mission to zing the hell out of each other last. They had me rolling over their antics with each other. And all that passion, whew, it definitely transfers into the bedroom when they just can't stop one upping each other and neither's willing to back down from the challenge of a nekkid, sweaty, down and dirty night together.

Okay, so, the sex scenes were just smoking hot and sexy as hell. He's a total dirty talker, all alpha male and serious as sin about pleasing Hayden even if that means he's on the receiving end of a pair of cuffs and taking orders. I loved he was willing to let her be in charge some of the time and that she was definitely into taking on that role. Very hot. Whew!
He brushed her hair aside with one hand and scraped his teeth down the side of her neck. "You made this fucking sound, Hayden. The first time you spread your legs to take my cock. I hear it everywhere I go. This goddamn.. moan? Sob? I don't know. All I know is if I don't fuck that sound out of you again soon, I'm going to completely lose my mind."
Brent and Hayden had some big issues between them--a lot dealing with the difference in their social standing. He's a gruff, crude, cop and her family is really well off and she's a "princess". Which on the surface yeah could totally be the case but man these two were so much more than they initially thought of each other. I liked the differences between them--even though his continued grumbles and pokes about her finances wore on me for personal reasons-- and loved that as things went along all of their preconceived notions about each other shattered and they really started to see below the surface to the amazing people they were. There was some serious growth going on and I loved that.

Really, I just liked these two. They were fun and interesting and had so much heart. And damn when he screwed up he did a tremendous job of making up for it. I was melting and busting out laughing and just adored him even more for it all.

All in all, Asking for Trouble was an awesome addition the the series and a must if you love a dirty talking, rough around the edges, doesn't hold anything back hero and a heroine that can take him on and give just as good as she gets. Throw in stellar friends, meddling families and off the charts steam and it really makes for an excellent afternoon read.
