Bringing some yum to the blog today! I needed something delicious and easy and these were exactly that. Chocolate peanut buttery goodness in a flaky croissant. Yum!
They're great because you can easily customize them to suit your mood, too, or do a couple different varieties at the same time if you have picky eaters.
Only three ingredients this time!
Croissant dough, peanut butter of choice and chocolate chips of choice.
Of course you can change things out as well with other types of nut butters or nutella as your spread.
Switch out the chocolate chips for butterscotch or or other chips or even fruits.
Add your peanut butter and spread it along the croissant triangles.
Then sprinkle with chocolate chips.
The first time I didn't spread out the peanut butter and just had it at one end then added the chips along the triangle and rolled.
It was okay but the peanut butter was clumpy and you got a mouthful of just peanut butter.
Either works but I prefer the spread out version much more.
Whichever way you opt to do the peanut butter get em all read then roll up the dough like normal and bake!
When they're all nice and golden pop them out.
And sprinkle with powdered sugar. This isn't a must but sure makes them prettier :)
Plate up and serve!
These are best served warm.
You can save them overnight for later munching but I would recommend giving them a little heat up in the microwave first. Not quite as good as right out of the oven but they still hit the spot.
