Sports romance!! Woohoo! I'm going to do today's Quote-tastic/Review a little differently. We're going quote-review. First one I've done so we shall see how it goes <grins>

But first! The quick of it...Okay so Jackson is a sports analyst and Leila...the new sideline sports reporter who's working under him. And oh the attraction and intrigue they have for each other! For the first time they've found someone who thinks like they do. It's numbers and stats and seeing how puzzles fit. One thing that won't fit? An office romance. *le sigh* And so a yummy battle of wills begins...

First up...Jackson. He's so yummy it's hard not to think naughty filthy things in his direction. Leila certainly had that trouble. And, well, he does too so double the fun for us!
His tone was so business-like and matter-of-fact that it took her a few beats to process his words. The man was some sort of sneaky flirting savant. Clearly, she'd need to keep her wits about herself if she didn't want ot accidentally trip and fall into his bed.

Or couch, or closet, or dark corner, added her imagination helpfully.  Leila kept her expression impressively reaction-free, however, as she busied herself getting her higher-floor-access key card out as they walked over to the elevator.

Ooo, elevator. Her brain added to the list.

Stop it, Leila!
The connection between the two was great. I loved that they both have a thing for numbers and stats and think the same way.
He was a stats and facts man, after all; questions and answers were sort of his thing.
Jackson's just flat out delicious. He's hot, sexy, at the top of his game, is a world class flirt and he's a good guy (sometimes he's a little too perfect) but he cares about people.
Good grief, she was pretty sure one of her ovaries just fainted.
I really loved the heroine too! She's a football junkie, a good person, hard worker and funny! I totally fell for her right about....here.--->
"He liked you,"stated Jackson, grinning his approval as he scribbled down a number on a Post-it. "Do you run?"

She blinked and tried to catch up to the next crazy segue...and failed magnificently. "Excuse me?"

"I asked if you run."

"If someone's chasing me," she replied honestly.
Their romance was slooooooow moving since they didn't want to risk her job at the network and whatnot but I loved that they became friends first and totally respected each other...
"I was two seconds from kneeing that guy in the nuts, Jackson. I don't want to spend time with anyone but you; I don't want anyone's hands on me but yours. I really like what you and I have going on right now."

She'd even had a name for it, this thing between them.

"A perfect, and perfectly chaste friends-with-snuggle-benefits relationship."

Or cuddle buddies for short.

As far as labels go, she'd hit that one right on the money. It was perfect.

But oh when it heated up! Oh, yeah!

"You're going to make me spill the coffee...among other things."

If that was a complaint, it lost it's efficacy somewhere along the deep groan of pleasure when her hands finally slid over his steel-hard flesh, skin to skin. Stroking him once gently, and then a second time, with just enough pressure to drive him crazy, but not enough to be anything more than a playful tease, she looked up and saw him staring down at her with dangerously glittering eyes promising all sorts of payback.

Unfortunately for  him, she took challenges even more seriously than dares.

She started in on slow, deliberate pumps then, while the tip of her tongue traced his hard ridge from base to tip. Her mouth hovered, but never closed over him fully.

"Babe. I've never been one to spank a woman in bed, bu you're seriously asking for it."
The sweet and aw-worthy moments between them totally had me in a swoon. I mean how could this not?!
"I'll have Mike pick you up from the station this evening to make sure you're not harassed in transit."

"You don't have to have him do that. He's your security detail."

"Yes, he is. And there's nothing more important to me than you."

Her knees went a little mushy over that.
He's got some growly alpha male in him too so it's not ALL sugary sweet...
"Jackson, what are you doing here?"

"A couple of things. The most pressing at the moment is getting all these boxes back in your apartment."

"What? No. You can't do that. Nick's coming with the truck."

He growled and snapped his eyes over to the street, like an alpha wolf ready to defend his territory. And his woman.

No. No, she was much too evolved to find this ridiculously sexy.

Jackson's gaze swung back to her when she wobbled a bit on her one foot.

Wobbled, not swooned. Big difference.
Of course there was a little bit of relationship drama. I didn't totally buy into the reasoning behind it--it was a little shaky to me--but overall I was still on board.
"You're wrong. You, Jackson Gray, have so much more to offer a woman. If you weren't such a sweet, tunnel-visioned ass, you'd realize it.
 Yes. Yes he would. lol
When I finally stopped to actually think about what would constitute a happy life for me, every single answer I could come up with had you in it.
*dreamy sigh* Jackson's Trust was a deliciously fluffy treat. A fun romance, wonderful friendships, humor, heat and plain ol likeable characters made for a delightful time.
It’s no secret that sports analyst Jackson Gray doesn’t do relationships. What is a secret, however, is the reason why. Jackson’s life is . . . complicated. And it doesn’t help that his current hands-off “friendship” is with the cute-as-hell new sideline reporter he’s assigned to train. Turns out, not only is the woman damn sweet, she also knows as much about football as he does. Like it or not though, Jackson has to remind himself that sex is the only thing he has to offer . . . until now.

Leila Hart’s fast-growing friendship with Jackson is something she’d never risk, no matter how unbelievably seductive the reward. Becoming an NFL sportscaster has always been the goal, and thanks to Jackson’s fierce support and mentoring, it all finally seems within reach. Problem is, a girl can only take so much of that sexy-as-sin voice whispering dirty, filthy football stats in her ear before she loses all self-control. A workplace romance with Jackson is a disaster waiting to happen, especially for someone with big dreams . . . and secrets of her own.
