4 stars-- Sweet as Sin (Bad Habit #1) by J.T. Geissinger

Holy dirty mouthed hero! Noms! Yall, I loved this book! Sweet as Sin lit up all my reader girl buttons and has me hooked!

Gist: These two meet. Fireworks happen. Some drama. Some scorching sexy bits. And it's magical. Seriously. I was all ohmigawd!!! I need more!!!

"That's just it. She hasn't told me what she wants, shes told me what she doesn't want. So I think since you're her two best friends..." When Nico paused, I peeked at him through my fingers. "They are your two best friends, right?"

I nodded. He turned back to them.

"So since you're her two best friends, and shes not tellin' me what she wants, I think we should all figure this out together." His voice lowered. "Because I wanna get to know her. Because I think shes beautiful, interestin', and sexy as fuck, and that laugh of hers knocks me on my ass. And I think she wants me, too, only shes afraid."

He paused to draw a breath. "So. Tell me what I need to do to make her mine."

Chloe's gasp was soft and thrilled. Grace actually looked like she was impressed by his honesty.

The man was an evil genius.
The Characters/Story:
I loved Kat and Nico even with their flaws. He could go a bit aggressive alpha male, Kat rocked some over the top dramatic now and again. That might normally drive me crazy but it so worked here...because they called each other out on it and fixed whatever was going on. I loved that. They were scorching hot together, too. Nico has a total dirty mouth, and, yall, that is my thing. I loved how he talked. Made me catch my breath a couple times and had me squirming.
There was some added family drama, some loss, some heartache. Some funny bits and even a little suspense. It was just the perfect combination of bookish yum. I loved watching the two meet and fall in love and deal with everything that came at them.
The Narration:
This was my first time with Teri Clark Linden. And I liked her! Great pacing, nice character distinction. I like my male voices a tiny bit more masculine but, honestly, they were pretty dang good. The sexy bits, too. Yeah, she was working for me. I'd listen to her again no question. I kept finding excuses to clean so I could listen to "just a little more" and finished in about 2.5 days. Fast for me an an audiobook.
All in all, Sweet as Sin got me excited. It's been a while since an author gave me that giddy feeling where I just wanna tell everyone who will listen to buy these books now! It's so fun discovering a new to you author and finding that...whoa...they're awesome. I'll be reading more and can't wait.
Twentysomething Kat Reid is loving life as an in-demand Hollywood makeup artist. She has absolutely no interest in rock ’n’ roll, but in order to pay the mortgage, she agrees to work on the set of a rock video for the world-famous rockers known as Bad Habit…which brings her face-to-face with Nico Nyx, lead singer of Bad Habit and Adonis in the flesh.

However, the fiercely independent Kat isn’t impressed by the hard-living, womanizing rock star. But when Nico’s model girlfriend shows up to the set drunk and Kat is tapped to replace her as the video’s sexy bride, her combustible chemistry with Nico suddenly threatens to consume the set. Nico feels it, too—and becomes determined to win Kat over, body and soul. Yet behind his rock god swagger, Nico hides a dark secret. Can he rock Kat’s world forever, or will he just break her heart?
