[memes] Pretty Libraries + my week in books

Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!
I wanted to meme. And only had one weekly post to do it. So there's a whole lotta memeage happening in this post. You might have to scroll down a bit to get the one you're looking for. 😸

It was a pretty great week here! I got a TON of stuff done. And survived another hurricane. smh

  • We got a ton of rain today and some impressive wind. Thankfully, unlike Flo, Matthew moved real quick and left us be. Whew!
  • I got a new power washer. And then promptly had to call Danny in FL because oh my word it stated smoking! (too much oil) It did a great job and I've got the steps and sidewalks done. Next up the driveway.
  • The food pantry was obnoxious this week. Volunteers were about to make me need to spork someone. lol
  • The girls are doing pretty good! Sid's been way more active and opinionated and Cleo's hanging in there with her asthma.
  • Blog Ahead progress 27 to 44. I'm blogging! I haven't blogged since July!

That's about it. I'm going to spend Friday checking out a nursery and getting some advice on which plants I need to put in for the fall. Then planting up (hopefully) all my new pretties. I've already splurged a little and got some HUGE mums that were on sale.

It was a good reading week!

Whiskey Rebellion-- Fun, light mystery with an accident prone heroine. I enjoyed it.

Her Cowboy Billionaire Boss-- Was going SO well until the heroine absolutely LOST her dag mind at about 80%

Her Cowboy Billionaire Boyfriend-- Even with an activist heroine who had a bit of an overreaction towards the end it was pretty good!

Hot Asset-- Yum on the cover! It was good, too. Different. Hero is a wall street broker. Heroine is an SEC investigator investigating him for insider trading.

Hard Sell-- And another good one. He needs to clean up his image and his frenemy agrees to play the part and help him out. I do love those fiery sparks!

Yall know I love me some Shalvis. Picked Playing for Keeps up for review. I haven't started it yet but it's going to be my Friday read.

I won two ebooks via Goodreads giveaway-- Don't Speak and Aftereffects. Yay! I love Regnery so that was exciting. I've not heard of Greene before but looking forward to trying it out.

Longest Reads
Vampire Most Wanted by Lynsay Sands
It Had to be You by Jill Shalvis

I haven't felt like planning/designing lately so decided to do a 5 in 1 spread. So my October monthly (outside pages) and my four weekly spreads (middle)

Question: You are suddenly transported into a future time in which (horrors!) books are unknown. How would explain books, and how wonderful they are, to the people of that time?
A: Oh I'm so sorry. You poor dears. Books...are fabulous little glimpses into other worlds. Full of interesting people that become friends. They'll have you sighing, laughing, leave you swooning over sexy heroes, make your heart race and your emotions soar. They are the best drug.

And because it was funny...
