Interview w/ Stacy Eaton-- swoon worthy heroes, Barbie feet and questionable gnomes

Hey guys! Today we have Stacy Eaton joining us to talk about 2 of her new releases. Check out our chat and be sure to leave her some comment love! It's always greatly appreciated <3
Emergency room Doctor Rachel Wilde and Detective Grant Murphy meet by chance and it takes only one glance and a simple gentle touch to ignite their senses.

When Grant’s wife is in a tragic accident, Rachel goes above and beyond the call of duty to save her life. It is the moment she faces Grant again that their lives begin to spin out of control and they realize the lives of their loved ones were deeply intertwined.

The distorted loyalties of the ones they lost will drive a wedge between them and it will take another death, a last will and a look beyond the grave to find the path they must follow.

Mornin' Stacy! Welcome to herding cats & burning soup! I'm working in the kitchen today making biscuits and jam so come on back and settle in. Now, I can't wait to hear about your recent releases. *giddy squee* I just love rom-suspense.
OH!!! And I love Jam!! What flavor? I was just reading a book by Melissa Foster where the character makes jam! And she had some awesome sounding lime flavor! So happy to be here to visit with you today! Hey, how many cats do you have in here anyway?

Ooo Lime jam? How different! I went with apricot today. It's my favorite :) While that's finishing up...say you were running through the airport and had 10 seconds before dashing to your gate to hook someone on Grant and Rachel's story...what would you tell them?
Dang! 10 seconds… Okay, here it goes!
If you want a book that will pull you in, make you want to scream, cry, laugh and getting totally absorbed in while you fall in love with the characters, you need to read Distorted Loyalty
Ahh I know 10 seconds is hard but you totally rocked it. Can you tell us a couple fun/sexy/interesting behind the scenes facts about Distorted Loyalty? Think Pop-Up Video.
  • At one point in the book, the teenage girl gets close to death and visits her mother in heaven. There originally was a second time she had contact with her, but I took that out because it seemed too far of a stretch.
  • There is this hilarious scene between Rachel and her son Josh about condoms and I was giggling to myself as I wrote it. I could just imagine a mom and son having the discussion. I think that particular part really endears Josh to everyone’s heart. From that point on, he seems to be one of the favorite characters, even though he has a smaller part.
Bwaha I love scenes like that. So awkwardly hilarious. So, if you had to pick out the best characteristic of Grant and Rachel what would it be?
Grant has strength. He gets knocked down over and over again, but he keeps standing back and up and moving forward. Rachel is calm in a crisis, whether it’s work or personal. She stays in control and deals with things as they need to be dealt with.
They really sound awesome Stacy! But...what about their biggest foibles?
I have to say that Grant is also seriously stubborn sometimes. I know there were times I wanted to smack him upside the head. While I stated that Rachel was calm, cool and collected, she has a tendency to hide her emotions. I think that stems from her job as an ER doctor, but Grant does find a way to reach them.
LOL I think every man elicits that response now and again. ::snort:: Alright you have another release happening. So switching gears a little because I'm dying to hear about Six Days of Memories too!
Detective Natasha Foster will put her job on the line to prove her gut feeling is dead on.
When Detective Foster responds to the scene of a crash, she finds the female passenger dead, a bag full of money in the back seat and a body in the trunk.  It is only when the driver, whom she nicknames Jay, wakes up with no memory that she must go with her instincts and continue the investigation in a way that was never taught.

Jay finds himself lost, but drawn to the beautiful detective who steps above and beyond the call of duty. His need to know if he was a victim or the criminal pushes him to try and recall what happened and who he is. With the pull of a trigger, Jay’s memory will suddenly return and with it, the terrible truth.

Sooo...Six Days of Memories sounds crazy interesting! If you had to pick one thing in the book you think people will just love what would it be?
Jay, the driver of the car. The man who wakes up and can’t remember why he is driving a $100,000 car; or why he has money in the back seat and he has no idea who the passenger is. My beta readers adored him! I do too!
He's already got me so curious! What was your favorite quote or scene with Jay that just made you swoon or had you gigglesnorting or sighing in girly bliss or just left you shocked?
Oh, swoon…. I loved this scene… I don’t know how many times I have said this quote out loud in a soft voice because it holds so much emotion in this scene.
Jay is speaking and he has ahold of Tasha. His memory has returned and with it, all the secrets he was hiding.
This is what he say’s to her:
Don’t you close those beautiful eyes on me! Don’t shut me out, Tasha.”
Jay has so many little things that he says to her and will have your heart pitter pattering in your chest.
Ahhh yeah. I can totally see him making my heart do a little pitter pattering. If you had one sentence to describe each of the characters what would come to mind for Natasha and Jay?
Natasha is dedicated to her job, but not so much that she ignores herself of the ones she loves.
Jay is an enigma and I can promise that you will be praying he is not guilty of the things Natasha uncovers.
I already am! lol Alright, how about a couple quickies! Favorite Man Candy?
Holy cow!  I have so many! Right now it’s Jay!
Yard gnomes or flamingos?
Gotta go with flamingos, gnomes freak me out, seriously.
Weirdest thing in your purse right now?
A Barbie foot. *raises eyebrow* I've...got absolutely no words Stacy lol
I'm completely freaked out by?
A garden gnome holding a Barbie foot, that is hiding under a pink flamingo in front of the tree with the face.
Strangest thing you've google searched in the name of research?
Information on condoms, lol… I have a latex allergy so I have never been able to use them. I know next to nothing about them.
Ooo I so did a post about condoms last month. It was definitely interesting google searching those! lol So, what's coming up next for you?
Later this year, I’m hoping to release two new novels, Second Shield 2 and You’re Not Alone. The second one is a romantic suspense dealing with domestic violence. Plus I have to finish the second book for Garda, and I am plotting out a new series called One Every Thirty-Six. I have another 4 or 5 that I have thought about writing too, but I have to get these finished first!
Whew! Definitely a lot on your plate. How exciting! We'll let you get on back to those :) Thanks so much for stopping by Stacy!
Thank you so much for having me! This had a great time!! And I’ll be back to answer any questions that your readers have!  Thank you so much!
