(these two are brothers) Kevin slapped a box of hot dogs down on the rock. “What the hell was that?”Alright, so, some background. Keri and Joe were in love as teenagers before she decided to leave town and break his heart. Noooo!!!! Now, nearly two decades later Joe is a famous, yet reclusive, writer and Keri has been sent to land an interview with him... or she'll lose her job. Ahh. Dramas! But so fun for us! lol
“A kiss. It’s something guys like me do with girls we like. But don’t worry, someday you’ll find one drunk enough to let you try it.”
Sparks fly as soon as they lay eyes on each other and Joe makes her a deal. If she goes with him on his family's two week camping trip she can ask him one interview question for every day that she survives being with his crazy family. His parents, siblings, their mates and a herd of kids that could double as hellspawn. It was just so much fun watching them as a group. So many hilarious moments and an equal number of ones that just seriously made me go aw as the two dealt with their past and how much hurt they'd caused. It's been a long while since I read this one and still it's one of my favorite reads so it easily lands on both my Pick of the Litter list and my Must Reads: Contemporary list. Definitely one not to miss!
*Yeah. So this review has been hanging in my drafts folder for like 4 years now. Erms. Figured it was maybe kinda time to post it. lol I can't say if I'd rate it a 5 now or not but I did enjoy it a heck of a lot so I went with my old rating :)
When Keri Daniels' editor finds out she has previous carnal knowledge of reclusive bestselling author Joe Kowalski, she gives Keri a choice: get an interview or get a new job.
Joe's never forgotten the first girl to break his heart, so he's intrigued to hear Keri's back in town--and looking for him. Despite his intense need for privacy, he'll grant Keri an interview if it means a chance to finish what they started in high school.
He proposes an outrageous plan--for every day she survives with his family on their annual camping and four-wheeling trip, Keri can ask one question. Keri agrees; she's worked too hard to walk away from her career.
But the chemistry between them is still as potent as the bug spray, Joe's sister is out to avenge his broken heart and Keri hasn't ridden an ATV since she was ten. Who knew a little blackmail, a whole lot of family and some sizzling romantic interludes could make Keri reconsider the old dream of Keri & Joe 2gether 4ever.
