4 stars-- The Bohemian and the Businessman (The Story Sisters #1) by Katy Regnery

Oh dear. The oh so proper hero and the wild child. Yes. These two are as opposite as opposite can be.

The Gist: Shane has a problem. He's after a promotion but his boss's stipulation...he has to be family. Which means marrying one of his daughters. Problem is the one he's expected to marry? Doesn't want a lick to do with him. Her sister, though, has a problem, too. She got herself knocked up and the only way to secure her inheritance is to have been married for a year or turn 40. Until then her wanker of a father is in charge of her trustfund and won't hesitate to kick her out without a dime. A marriage of convenience? Yeah. Yeah that might just fix both their problems. *nods*
Shane and Priscilla. Well. I liked him from the start. He may be a bit rigid and all about securing his future but he's a good guy. Awkward as all get out when it comes to women, though. He had a really bad experience early on and it's left him rather... innocent where women are concerned.

Priscilla...is a wild child and rarely thinks of others. She does what feels good and damn the consequences. Which drives me batty. But she did grow on me and by the end I was smitten with Priscilla as well. It's hard being an artistically inclined person in a family of by the book business people and she had to grow some backbone and grow up a bit.
Sitting back down at the table with his beer, he watched her take another bite of kheer directly from the tin, savoring it distractedly before dipping back in for more. But before she could take the last scoop, he grabbed his own spoon, pushed hers aside with a clank, and scraped up the rest.

Her head snapped up, and she blinked at him, holding up her empty spoon. “Oh, hell no! You’re going to steal rice pudding from a pregnant lady?”

“Pretty much.”
The romance was interesting seeing as how they got married in secret so they could protect Priscilla and her baby and then had to convince everyone they were a couple and dating even though they weren't really but they were because, hello, married! lol It was...messy to say the least. Throw in some wild hormones and chemistry and, yeah, they had quite a go of things. And, yall, there were some really sweet moments, too, as Shane took on Priscilla AND her baby. It was seriously swoony, yall. This guy is totally what a hero is supposed to be.

All in all, a complicated but lovely romance as these two stumbled into a forever they never thought they'd have.

Priscilla Story, the self-proclaimed “wild child” of the straight-laced Story clan, has always had a knack for getting herself trouble. Except this time, her “growing problem” is going to require a Daddy sooner than later…or she can kiss her inheritance good-bye.

Shane Olson, who previously dated Priscilla’s sister, Margaret, isn’t opposed to a marriage of convenience for the sake of furthering his business interests, but Priscilla – with her wild ways – is just about the last woman he’d choose to marry.

In order to make the marriage look convincing, they end up having to spend more time together than they’d originally planned. When rolling stone, Priscilla, who lives by the seat of her muu-muu, and seriously-ambitious Shane, who’s had his whole life planned since he was eleven, start falling for each other, it’s going to take a whole lot of compromise for this Bohemian and her Businessman to find their happily ever after.
