I saw this one and thought the cover was so cute and Greece? Yes, please! Sadly...it turned into a no thanks.
The Gist: The fate of an old villa is at risk. Stefano has partially inherited it and wants to tear it down. The other owner, however, sends his granddaughter Ashley to save that same building. When she gets there and a hot guy invites her for a yacht ride? Well she's all over that!Stefano and Ashley were decent enough people and characters. Pleasant and trying to do what they think is right (even if methods are sometimes hinky). But they were just there. Nothing too stand out about them. They sure steamed things up, though. Almost immediately hitting the sheets (and falling in love) but it's nearly all fade to black/closed door. Oy.
All the bits and pieces of the story were there but they lacked richness and depth. Needed to be fleshed out more like the characters. It felt too simplistic. And there was a good bit of suspending belief-- ex a 500 room massive resort being completely planned and built in 4 months. Some over the top drama was a bit frustrating, too.
In the end, Her Greek Tycoon was a quick easy read but never quite made it to fab. I liked the set up but it fizzled on delivery despite some enjoyable scenes sprinkled throughout that were both touching and sweet.
When Greek billionaire Stefano decides to demolish the dilapidated villa inherited from his grandmother, the American co-owner refuses to sell his shares and sends his attorney—and pretty granddaughter—to contest the demolition. To check out the opposition before he faces at the hearing, Stefano meets her incognito and convinces her to take a sunset ride on his yacht. Sparks fly and passion sizzles during a memorable night.
In court, Ashley is in for a nasty surprise about her handsome Greek god and Stefano is about to lose the only woman who’s ever touched his heart. Will Stefano be able to convince Ashley he’s not the enemy anymore?
