Interview w/ Audra North--Pie, sexy heroes and man candy + Review

Lily Stanton’s vacation goes from bad to worse when a storm strands her in a foreign country, arguing with an arrogant—and very sexy—stranger over the last available hotel room.

Successful CEO Bruno Komarov wasn’t expecting the gorgeous woman checking in at the reception desk to challenge him over a room. Even more surprising, he actually enjoys their exchange.

But when Lily proposes a compromise—she’ll take the bed and he can sleep on the couch—Bruno pushes his attraction aside and assures himself that this can remain strictly business. After all, they’re both adults capable of keeping their hands to themselves. They’ll share the room, get a good night’s sleep, and be off to their respective destinations in the morning.

What could possibly happen in just one night?

Good morning Audra!! Welcome to the blog. Seemed like one of those mornings pie would be good for breakfast so we've got pecan, pumpkin, apple and even some chocolate cream pie to go around if you'd like a slice while we chat :)
Oh, I love all kinds of pie. Even Shepherd's Pie! It's possible I might end up sampling them all...
LOL I knew I liked you! And I loved One Night in Santiago! It was such a fun read. If you had to hook someone who'd never heard of it in just one sentence...what would you tell them?
A consultant and a businessman are stranded in Santiago for a night due to bad weather, and they end up sharing the last available hotel room...sexytimes ensue and a relationship is born.
Ahh and they were good sexy times. lol Alright, could you tell us 2 fun behind the scenes facts about Bruno, Lily and their journey? Think Pop-Up Video style.
Bruno knows all the words to every Kelly Clarkson song. *snort*
When Lily was sixteen, she failed her driving test the first time she took it.
Aws. Would not have guessed that from her. So, what was that one thing about Bruno that totally made you weak in the knees? And what was your favorite thing about Lily?
I love that Bruno is so close with his family. They're tight-knit but not in each other's faces. It's a loving, respectful family relationship.
Lily is a fighter. It makes her pretty stubborn sometimes, but that quality also got her through a few very tough times.
Love that in a heroine. So, what's coming up next for you? Will there be more in this world or do you have something else coming up?
Yes, there are two more Stanton Family novellas! Greg's story is next--he's Lily's older brother, then Julie's story finishes out the series. She's the youngest Stanton sibling. Andrew's story is FALLING FOR THE CEO, which released last November. I'm also in a charity anthology to benefit RAINN (Rape Abuse and Incest National Network) that releases in June. Some awesome authors are going to be in that one, as well, including Ruthie Knox, Cecilia Tan, Molly O'Keefe, and Charlotte Stein.
Wow you've got a lot coming up! That's awesome. Alright just a couple quickies before you head out...

Favorite Man Candy?

Oh, gosh. Where to begin? Well, Gregory Fitoussi is the guy I think of when asked to describe Bruno. *oh wow Audra! Yum!*
And then there's Angel Bonanni, who is just yum

Any hotel/travel "disasters" that are funny to you now?
Oh, gosh. The first trip I took with my first child was at Christmastime. I was going back home to Texas to visit my mom and got stuck in the Atlanta airport for hours. I ended up running out of diapers and had to use paper towels for my son on the leg from Atlanta to Austin. Just a tip: paper towels are not as absorbent as one might think. It was a mess and so uncomfortable for him and for me, but now I laugh about it.
Favorite thing to cook/bake?
I love making English trifle! The fruit makes it feel healthy.
Weirdest thing in your purse or room right now?
A small planter attached to a statue of the Virgin Mary. My sister gave it to me because I'm Catholic, but it doesn't really make sense to me. I use it as a pen holder. *nice*
Favorite office supply?
Pens! I have four of them next to me on my desk right now.
Oh I'm a pen junkie too! Gotta have some back ups. lol Thanks so much for coming by Audra!
Thanks for having me!

One Night in Santiago was a fun little read and it's packed with all kinds of goodness for it's fairly short length. Awesome characters, some seriously steamy sexy moments and just a fun storyline of two travelers trapped because of bad weather and faced with the dilemma of the hotel having only one room left. Bwaha. You just know it's gonna get good...

Lily and Bruno were great together. They had that spark right from the start and just fit. They were fun characters too. Even though they've each had a hell of a week and are exhausted they were entertaining to listen to. Their inner voices had me chuckling quite a bit. They were just cute as they tried to behave and fight their attraction. There were some really kinda sweet moments too as they speed learned about each other and talked about their lives. And whewboy when they decide to heat things up they get them mighty hot.

All in all, it was a great short story. It ended just how it needed to and just made me smile. Will definitely be checking out more from North. This one is great if you just want a fun steamy hour of reading with a couple of great characters.
