So. I'm just going all out Brazen Entangled today. LOL Celebrating their 3rd birthday, Have Gina Maxwell on for a chat and figured for Quote-tastic, yeah, I'd Brazen it up too.
I'm reading this one right now-- about half way through--and really enjoying it. It's out today and only 99cents for the month so perfect time to grab it. This was just as they're meeting at a the airport for the first time and she's nervous as hell about flying so he's made it his mission to keep her occupied.
"Let me guess. Divorce lawyer? Marriage counselor?"
She scoffed. "Worse. I'm an actuary--quite possibly the most boring job to ever exist."
"You don't look boring to me," he said, his voice husky. He blinked. Wait, why did his voice change? What the fuck? "Quite the opposite."
She shot him a surprised look. "Are you flirting with me?"
Did she actually ask him if he was flirting with her? Fascinating. "And if I am?"
"Well, uh." Her cheeks flushed red and she fidgeted with her skirt. "Thanks, I guess? It's a welcome distraction if nothing else."
Wow. That almost hurt. He bit the inside of hies cheek to stop himself from smiling. She was just...so...refreshingly different.
"That's all? I must be losing my touch."
And because I love this one and the Are you flirting with me made me think of it...
